A lot of water is contained in the gypsum waste. When a fire breaks out, it becomes steam and the temperature rise is delayed. It becomes an effective fireproof coating material for concrete explosion prevention measures by constructing it to the surface of a high-strength concrete. The effectiveness was confirmed as a result of mixing gypsum waste with the light cement mortar by a current research, and examining it based on a fireproof experiment. In addition, we attempted reduction in costs by using a lot of gypsum waste like customers' needs' being answered. The fireproof coating material was given by the examination body that imitated a concrete segment and the examination body that imitated the iron frame pillar, and the fire-resistive performance was verified by the heating test.

This study is experimental confirmation about the effect of bending cracking load on tile finishing ALC panel. The relation between the tile span (the length of the tile of the length direction of the panel and the width of the tile joint) and the bending cracking load was shown. And the relation between the width of the tile joint and the bending cracking load of the panel was shown. The bending cracking load of the panel decreases so that a tile span becomes long. The width of the tile joint is not the factor of the decrease of the bending cracking load of ALC panel.

The effect of bending cracking load on tile finishing ALC panel is reported. In the case of the breaking joint of tile, the bending cracking load decreases as the case of straight joint. The panel specifications (length, thickness, number of the reinforcing steel bar ) are not factors of the decrease of the bending cracking load. However, in the case of the panel that the reinforcing steel bar ratio is high, there is the case that the bending cracking load of the tile panel is less than the design value, because the safety factor of the bending cracking load for the design value of the plane panel is small.

A lot of solvent system of fluorine resin painting is used for the surface finish of the aluminum alloy building materials for the long-term durability. In Japan, the powder coating that doesn't contain the solvent for the problem of the VOC exhaust is remarkable. But the standard powder coating on aluminum alloy doesn't have enough weather resistance for the exterior. As it mixes reasonably fluorine powder in the poryester powder, it gets the excelent weather resistance. It reports on the performance of the developed powder paint.

In Japanese construction industry fields, powder coating has been noticed as a coating system that is taken into cosideration environment. Polyester powder coating has been applied to not only interior but also exterior in many buildings in foreign contries. In Europe, quality of the powder coating has been evaluated and certified by test methods suggested by QAULICOAT headquater. However, it is not clear that the method is proper or not to evaluate quality of buiding materials in Japan. And durability evaluation data for building exterior powder coating is not sufficient. Therefore, Japan Aluminum Products Association has constituted a reserch committee for durability of powder coating on aluminum alloy building materials in order to promote the research. And a research working group for evaluation of the powder coating and the other invetigation working group for the powder coating durability have been estblished under the committee. In this paper, outline of the research planning and a part of the results are described.

Powder Coating applications, due to its many advantages including environmental, are well recognized and is largely applied on building materials particularly in European countries. Similarly, powder coating applications on building materials have started to be considered in Japan. Therefore, there arises the need to conduct series of performance tests; including the long-term durability of powder coating treatment in contact aluminum surfaces, specifically. Since there are still a small number of projects using powder coating in Japan, we have initiated the use of ‘high-weather resistant polyester powder coat' upon building's aluminum curtain wall. Towards the establishment of a set of painting conditions for powder coating, we have compiled this report listing the conditions and the performance test results. Also, we will touch on the problems that need to be overcome in order to further enhance the application of powder coating in Japan's building construction field, from an Aluminium Curtain Wall maker's point of view.

This study is aimed to figure out an optimum maintenance cycle of reinforced concrete's exterior wall. Therefore, to assemble the statistical data concerning differences of concrete's deterioration factors from bygone literatures, and analyze the reliability assessment of cover concrete toward carbonation and chloride attack based on inquired data. The deterioration factors here represent carbonation and chloride damage. As a result, in the range of this study, we collected the data concerning differences of cover of reinforcement bar, carbonation rate coefficient, salinity diffusion coefficient and finishing material (tile) deterioration rate from bygone literatures and organized them in probability density function. Moreover, R-S model is performed to figure out the deterioration probability of reinforced bar in 2 cases, with and without the consideration of finishing material's effect. Moreover, differ in forms of R and S models' functions are also explored in cases.

The wear experiment using caster wheels for surface concrete treated polished, hardener, both and non-processing and evaluation by surface texture measuring instrument and optical microscope were conducted. The arithmetic mean deviation of the profile (Ra) of worn surface was larger than non-worn surface. And quantity of disengaement of cement matrix was small in the order of non-, hardener, polished and both processing. It was clear that antiwear parformance of polished surface was better than harder surface.

Considering the tendency of increase of hazardous UV-B region ultraviolet rays y depletion of ozone layer, rational modeling and theoretical analysis was done in order to set new evaluation and prediction of weatherbility of building polymeric finishing and painting materials, based upon the setting of exponentially increasing ultraviolet photon function. The following remarks can be made:1)The Influence of the tendency of hazardous UV-B photons are reflected in the first term of Concentration function of deteriorated polymer molecules.2)In proportion as UV-B photons increase, the time dependence of the depth of deteriorated layer changes from parabolic law to power law.3)Step response method is useful as a new accelerated weathering test method.

In order to evaluate resistance of the materials in natural conditions, it is necessary to consider the influence of property change, differences of building parts. An advantage of the critical degree of saturation method , which is to evaluate the frost resistance of the materials from a comparison of the critical degree of saturation(Scr) and water absorption(Scap), is easy to consider these factors. In this study, it is investigated the influences of the accelerative water absorption effects in winter, differences of building parts on Scap, and the water preventive effects of finishing materials. And it is proposed the evaluation method for frost resistance of siding materials using the critical degree of saturation method in consideration of these factors.

When the volume of water of flooring in the room of one year after it completed it was measured, it was understood that the volume of water changed greatly by the direction of the room and the environment such as sunshiny. Moreover, it has been understood that it is large and the volume of water is different in the room not assumed to be a room either where the window dawning ventilation was executed. It is easy for mold in flooring to receive a big influence to the volume of water. It has been understood that the volume of waters can be decreased more than the operation and maintenance of these ventilations etc. , and there is a possibility that the generation of mold etc. is held off.
