In order to further improve the efficiency of the internal combustion engine, highly accurate and adaptive control is required for an automobiles gasoline engine which are frequently used in transient state. This paper investigated about the adaptation of the feedforward control system by means of an on-line nonlinear programming method and examined the improvement of the accuracy of engine speed control in transient state.
In the remotely controllable automated driving system, an operator at the remote station has to supervise the remote vehicle and control it's steering and brake as occasion arises by using camera images sent from it via wireless communication. This study evaluates the influence of communication delay of camera images on operability of a remote vehicle. To make conditions of variety of delay of camera images, a remote control simulator is developed. By evaluating the lane tracking performance while delay is present, the amount of allowance of delay under low speed driving is revealed.
