This study aims to measure the influence of primary teachers’ science process skills on their inquiry teaching practice in implementing the new science curriculum focusing on a case of Kawthoung, Myanmar using the quantitative approach. As a result,teachers’ science process skills have a significant positive effect on their inquiry teaching practice in the science classroom.

The study aims to assess and evaluate primary school teachers’ understanding on basic science process skills (BSPS) assessment focusing on a case of Mumbwa District of Zambia. BSPS are fundamental skills required in scientific thinking, and are the key skills to be taught in science education beginning at primary school level. As the most significant resource in schools, teachers are critical to raise education standards. Improving the efficiency and equity of schooling depends, in large measure, on ensuring that teachers are highly skilled, well resourced, and motivated to perform at their best. Since teachers hold the key to better quality service provision, there is need then for them to possess quality knowledge and skills to effectively and efficiently conduct the BSPS assessment of the learners. Without which, there will continue to be a mismatch between what students need from their science education and what is assessed and so taught.

STEM the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education fields has been the priority focus of policy agenda in many countries around the world. As the country is shifting her economic development trend in this regional and global industry 4.0 era, it was emphasized that Cambodia is in great demand of graduates in STEM fields. However, currently the country is facing some challenges in enhancing the students’ uptake into these fields. This paper, thus, presents the current status of STEM, discusses key issues the country is facing, and draws some implications of initiatives from the other nations to enhance students participation in STEM.

The aim of this research is to identify students’ scientific competency through STEM integrated approach. STEM is developing in many countries including in Indonesia, because of the advancement in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) can effect to modern live changing such as: transportation, medicine, gadget, food, and etc. The participants in this research included 36 students on STEM instruction and 38 students on non-STEM instruction. The students are 8th grade of junior high school in Indonesia. The results indicated that there were influence of STEM integrated instruction to the students’ scientific competency it seen by ANCOVA analysis (sig. 0,000<0,05). This result of scientific competency specify only in force and motion topic.
