There is no technology without uncertainty. A small amount of uncertainty can lead to a serious risk. Insurance has covered such a risk. In other words, technology and insurance have a strong complementary relationship. To strengthen the partnership between technology and insurance, I’d like to propose a system for promoting the development of autonomous driving cars and AI computer-aided detection. Specifically, Agence Qualité Construction, which is a part of the French housing guarantee system, will be applied to the fields of autonomous driving cars and AI computer-aided detection. It can be expected to contribute to technological innovation as well as to compensate for technological uncertainty.

COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, the government recommends “cashless payment” to reduce contact opportunities.
However, in previous research, there is concern about contact between people and objects in the payment operation of some payment methods, and the authors questioned whether the promotion of cashless payments alone is necessarily safe. In this paper, the authors have identified and clarified the payment operation process of the four cashless payment methods (credit card, debit card, electronic money, and QR code) by field survey. The results of the study revealed that there is a challenge in converting credit cards, which account for 90% of the cashless payment market share, to contactless. We also analyzed the trends in the market before and after COVID-19 by text mining of newspaper article data to identify their impact. After that, the authors discussed the feasibility of contactless and made recommendations for its solution. The recommendations are that the installation of contactless terminals in stores is costly, and that it is important to have a government initiative to promote it. The importance of promoting contactless credit cards to protect the elderly, who are more susceptible to COVID-19 infections, was also discussed.

Digital Transformations (DX) promotion has become indispensable for business. However, DX promotion is not enough for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In addition, it is difficult for SMEs to solve the shortage of human resources, which is an issue for DX promotion. Therefore, in this study, we focused on the introduction of the ERP system, which is part of the DX promotion, and the lack of ability to define requirements, which is one of the issues of shortage of human resources. And, based on the agile philosophy, we proposed a model of agile software development method for SMEs. As the result of the study, it was found that the method is effective for some issues. In the future, we will improve the model based on this case and contribute to the DX promotion for SMEs.

This paper is concerned with the relationship between business succession and corporate performance in family businesses. The hypotheses of this paper are as follows: “Companies run by successors who choose business succession from among other specific options perform better,” “Successors with good performance have proactive learning experiences before and after business succession,” and “Successors with good performance implement innovations after business succession.”
The purpose of this paper is to examine the validity of these hypotheses using actual cases. The case studies will be based on interviews with the successors of family businesses that have experienced business succession, interviews with employees, and books written by the successors to confirm the following four points. The items to be checked were (1) the existence of options other than business succession, (2) the experience of proactive learning, (3) the existence of innovation, and (4) business performance (sales increase). We believe that the case studies, although limited, have indicated the importance of proactive business succession choices and learning by the successors.

New business development approaches include an effectual and a causal approaches. An effectual approach was theorized as decision-making under unpredictable circumstances by Saras D. Sarasvathy. The effectual approach, against the opportunity-finding approach, is positioned as one of the effective approaches to create the future (product, firm, market) by starting with existing means (who you are, what you know and who you know) and forming partnerships with people/organizations and interracting with other people. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the successes and challenges for the effectual approach-based business development by referring to the case of HORIBA’s business development.

The purpose of this study is to clarify how the environmental changes caused by the Covid-19 affected employee engagement, and to examine how remote work affects employee engagement and how it should be managed. In this study, social trends in working attitudes are confirmed from newspaper articles to understand the current situation, and a questionnaire survey of actual employees and interviews with employees are conducted to extract specific issues.
The results of the survey indicate that telework not only has the effect of increasing employee engagement, but also has the effect of decreasing employee engagement by greatly affecting communication among workers. Therefore, it was concluded that although remote work is an effective tool for increasing employee engagement, it is necessary to introduce performance-based workplace culture and communication policies at the same time in order to take advantage of its effectiveness.

A cross-disciplinary approach to art-based tourism services has not yet been fully implemented. The purpose of this study is to propose a hypothetical model from the perspectives of both social innovation and service systems. This paper analyzed and considered one case focusing on the use of human resources, cultural resources, and natural resources. From the consideration of the bearers of the case, the place of interaction, and knowledge sharing, that proposed a model that positions the role of art at both levels of the service system and the value co-creation vision. This research provides the basis for modeling social value co-creation based on art, and will also provide practical knowledge for envisioning business methods for art projects including tourism.

I decided to enroll in the Nishikawa Technology Management School Introductory Course (Numata School) with the aim of overcoming this difficulty, stabilizing the business, and leading to further development.
By studying technology management at a cram school, I realized that what I had seen in the family business was superficial. There was a difference between what the management saw and what others could see. Based on these, measures to overcome this difficult problem of corona and projects for acquiring new customers have started, and the results are gradually coming out.
This report summarizes the plans to reactivate the long-stagnation family business by evolve it into a business that continues to be sought after by society.

This paper describes that a pragmatic way of knowledge management, which may ensure sustainable growth of companies, is to focus on talent development. The ideal knowledge management is one in which the process of knowledge sharing is embedded in daily operations. Specifically, it says that tacit knowledge is shared by fostering opportunities for knowledge sharing such as waigaya (Honda) etc. However, if knowledge is not viewed as “Knowledge”, but as “Knowing”, its effectiveness is questionable. The suggestion, that fosters a process or place for sharing knowledge will result in an integration of knowledge, is based on the premise that those who receive the knowledge are willing to absorb it. Fostering the will of recipient to absorb the knowledge, which is being spoken and shared, is what makes this premise true and makes possible the creation, sharing, and utilization of knowledge.
By integrating P. F. Drucker's observation that “communication is done by the receiver” into the SECI model developed by I. Nonaka, we present a practical model for knowledge management. In other words, we hypothesize that the foundation of knowledge management is to develop the recipients of knowledge and to enlarge their capacity. BASF's focus on employee development is examined as an effective and pragmatic approach.
