In injection molding, it is important to manage the surface related problems of molded articles. A trial has been reported on managing sinkmarks concentrated to the one-sided surface of moldings through giving a mold temperature difference. Our experiment here was conducted for clarifying how the uneven sinkmark development influenced the surface transfer, under the combined conditions of a low injection pressure with a given difference in temperature and roughness in the mold having mirror-cavity and rough-core surface. The evaluation was performed by glossmetry at the cavity side and by volumetry of sunk-space at the core side.
