The surface wettability of multiwalled-carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)was improved by the treatment with ozone water, which possesses strong oxidizability, owing to the incorporation of polar functional hydroxyl groups. This meant that the treated MWCNT could be better dispersed into EVA. Both the mechanical properties and the flame retardancy of EVA were also ameliorated compounding Mg(OH)
2 with the treated MWCNT.
