    Laser-induced fluorescence of hydrogen molecules via the X1Σg+B1Σu+ transition associated with the E1Σg+B1Σu+ two-photon excitation was applied to rotational spectroscopy of HD. Firstly, pure H2 and D2 molecules were permeated through a palladium membrane to create HD-containing hydrogen gas. UV laser, whose wavelength was varied within the range of 201.400nm to 202.000nm, irradiated the sample gas to induce two-photon excitation, and the following relaxation fluorescence was collected. In the above wavelength range, 12 peaks were observed, which were carefully assigned to the rotational states of H2, D2, and HD by comparing with theoretical calculations.[This abstract is not included in the PDF]
