With the prevalent shopping for ready-made clothes through the Internet and mail order catalog, it's no longer necessary to try the garments on before someone can buy well-fitted clothes. This is an important issue of modern ready-made clothes marketing. As a result, this research uses 11 items of body size tape measurements to establish size classification model of well-fitted ready-made clothes of various sizes through discriminant analysis. According to the research discovery, it is true that with 11 body size measurements we can use discriminant function to establish classification model of well-fitted ready-made clothes sizes. We can predict the size of a person's well-fitted ready-made clothes through its “body sizes”. The accuracy of correct classification by using discriminent function is 94.4%. Thus, this well-fitted ready-made clothes evaluation method created by this research is effective and simple to use.

We did the measuring of the hands and fingers of the right and left of 150 junior college female students. We gathered the outline of the shape of hands. And we did the drawing, measured it. We were able to understand in detail regarding the shape of the hands. We compared the result with the work gloves and the vinyl gloves. From the measuring result, we could find a necessary measuring item to improve the work gloves and the vinyl gloves handily.

    1) The individual difference of hand circumference is big. The left was 91mm. Also, the right was 84mm. The right and left difference was admitted with 1% of dangerous rate.

    2) Proportion that the 3rd finger length occupies to the hand length, 103/150people existed into 42~48% of ranges.

    3) The interdigit3 is distant from the wrist most with the measuring from the shape of hands. Next it is the interdigit2 and the next is the interdigit4.

    4) As for the work gloves, space exists between the hand and gloves in the position of interdigit4 and interdigit1 from the measuring result.

    5) When inserts the hand with the vinyl gloves and the position of interdigit1 agree other interdigits space exist between the hand and gloves without fitting. And the fingertip of the 4thfinger of the gloves remain.

If the hand and gloves do not conform, the hand is difficult to move it. Work efficiency falls. We hope that the improvement of the gloves design goes on by using the measuring value of the hand.
