Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc. has computerized phono-record circulation control since 1968. At first, the aims of computerization were simplification of circulation work, collecting statistical data for administration, and calculation of charges necessitated by enforcement of the new copyright law, but later calculation of charges was exempted, and the first two aims are carried out now by the following four steps of works, namely, print out of daily circualtion record, weekly overdue notice, making of monthly list of loan frequency, and taking annual statistics. The future prospects of the works are also mentioned.
