It is well known that in the structural materials for power plants and chemical ones, metallurgical structural chenges and creep or fatigue damage accumulate during long-term used at high temperature. Formerly the life prediction of structural material used at high temperature had been carried out through the destructive test data.
Recentry, however, there has been an advance in measuring various materials deterioration with the non-destructive testing method.
The purpose of this paper is to study the relation between creep damage and material properties mesured by non-destructive methode, such as electric resistance, hardness, creep cavities and sigma phase areas for Cr-Mo-V steel and austenitic stainless steel.
