    The International Society of Life Information Science (ISLIS) has sought scientific proofs of existence of wonderful phenomena and resolution of their principles in these 15 years since its foundation in 1995. Thirty symposia have been held and 30 issues of the Journal of International Society of Life Information Science (Journal of ISLIS), totaling more than 5,000 pages, have been published periodically. The existence of many wonderful phenomena has been proved scientifically in these 15 years; however, their accompanying principles have not been resolved. Therefore, many participants will gather at Fuji camp in Yamanashi, Japan and hold discussions on these and other matters. A variety of phenomena such as spiritual healing, qi gong, ayurveda, near-death experiences, and supernatural phenomena exist which cannot be explained by modern science results. The world view of each field will be explained to the participants, and then discussions will be held about these topics. Moreover, direct interactions and experiences in each field will be offered to participants, such as various demonstrations of qi gong, alternative medicine therapies, etc.

  • Exploratory Measurement Using Cucumber as a Bio-sensor

    The authors tried to measure a spatial distribution (X-Y plane) of controlled healing power around a healer by a gas measurement method using cucumber (Cucumis sativus 'white spin type') as a bio-sensor. The healer was W003 (a 41-year old female) who is well known as a psychic. After being seated in a chair, the healer then did non-contact healing (laying-on-of-hands) for 30min to increase the odor of the target cucumber pieces in 2 experimental Petri dishes which were set on a table (67cm height). To measure the distribution of potential around her body, cucumber pieces were next set at 20 points (70cm height) around her: 4 points at 50cm intervals in forward, backward, rightward and leftward directions from the healer; and 4 points at 45-degree angles between the four directions (about 2.5m distant from her). Two healing trials were done with a 15-min rest between them. During trials, control pieces were kept in another room (with a straight distance of 12m between the healer and controls). After 24h, gas concentrations of each cucumber sample were measured with gas detection tubes for ethyl acetate (141L, Gastec), and J values (the natural logarithm of the ratio of gas concentrations of experimental and control samples) were calculated at every point. The results suggested that a specific potential was generated around the healer which was not the Coulomb potential, and this potential had anisotropy between the front-backward and right-leftward directions.

    EEG alpha waves are very popular as an indicator of relaxation. Mass media reports are fond of using the alpha waves for scientific evidence, so many misunder-standings there can be found. The term alpha wave is rather arbitrarily used instead of the term of relaxation. In the relaxed state, parasympathetic nerves are often dominant. Therefore, some people believe that alpha waves activate the parasympathetic nerves, while others believe that the parasympathetic nerves stimulate the appearance of the alpha waves. Then, in this presen-tation, I will try to summarize basic physiological knowledge focusing on relaxation, including some con-siderations about various fluctuations of life infor-mation.

    This study evaluate the effects form meridian therapies with the use of indirect moxibution alleviates the major symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, losing appetite, tiredness, headache, stomatitis and losing hair by using intensively chemical treatments is belonged as subsidiary treatments for cancer. During the period of an intensive chemical treatment, the meridian therapies with moxibustion were applied to the patient biweekly. Any imbalance circulations of twelve regular meridians were corrected with the use of indirect moxibution and warming with a moxa pole by the razor machine called as BANSHIN. After five-months -meridian therapies, the frequency of nausea, the dryness with mucous membrane in the mouth caused by stomatitis, tiredness was reduced. The return of the palate was increased the appetite brought better quality of diet. The effectiveness from the meridian therapies with moxibustion for easing secondary effects form chemical treatments was shown in this study.

    I have elucidated the presence of a circulatory pathway between breast milk and lymph (duodenum—lymph nodes—mammary gland—lymph nodes—axillary lymph nodes). Where is breast milk produced? I have succeeded in clarifying this long-standing question. In women, prior to menstruation, mammary glands become tense and swell through the action of hormones. It was found that breast milk is sucked up from the duodenum, and then collected by the axillary lymph nodes. Abnormalities of the duodenum and lymph nodes were causing problems such as a frozen shoulder, hyperemesis gravidarum (morning sickness), shortage of milk secretion, and breast cancer.
