We propose a splicing system for MPEG-2/H.264 video bitstream programs without re-encoding. This study includes a new message definition to notify video codec type change, a partial re-quantization method in the splicer, and a design consideration of an integrated MPEG-2 Video/H.264 decoder. As a result, we found that the integrated decoder can seamlessly decode spliced programs.

The "B-to-B-to-C" business model--in which content delivery and billing are performed by an internet service provider (ISP) entrusted by a content holder--has caught on with content-distribution businesses on the Internet. It may be necessary to provide content or sort billings and so on according to the attributes of the viewer as required by the content holder. This paper proposes a new method of viewing control using the attributes of the viewer managed by the content holder while keeping attributes to the ISP secret. We present a method for the broadcaster to collect viewing logs in real time with personal identifiers by using ISP securely. We implemented this technology in an experimental VoD system for commercial mobile phones using a mobile public network.

The CMOS image sensor is designed and implemented in 0.18μm CMOS image sensor technology. The sensor consists of 256(H)×256(V) pixels, a vertical and a horizontal scanner, noise canceling column readout amplifiers, output buffers, and a delay circuit for pixel control pulses. The experimental results show that the proposed sensor can measure the lifetime in a nanosecond range.

In recent years, high speed, large capacity and reliable data communication is demanded. OFDM is focused as one of the candidates satisfying these demands, because its frequency spectrum is ideal rectangler shape. However its performance is degraded under severe multipath fading environments. Therefore, in this report, performance of the scheme of iterative detection of pre-coded OFDM combined with error correcting code is analyzed. As the result of simulation, good performance under severe fading was confirmed.
