〔Objective〕 To clarify how the organizational climate affects the role behavior and motivational instruction of practice instructors.〔Method〕 A questionnaire survey involving 296 instructors in the A region was conducted. After factor analysis to elucidate the role behavior and the organizational climate, multiple regression analysis and path analysis were performed for all subscales. 〔Results〕 The role behavior was divided into six categories: advice on the record, improved environments for autonomous action, creation of a relaxed atmosphere, support in improved practice motivation, constructive advice, and support in logical thought. The organizational climate considerations were divided into eight categories: research atmosphere, leadership of the head nurse, unfair assessment of nurses, harsh work conditions, education based on principles, authoritarian interpersonal relationships, lack of places for conversation, and ambitious behavior on the part of staff. The results of path analysis showed that ambitious behavior on the part of staff as an organizational climate consideration in human relations and education based on principles in motivational instruction affected the role behavior as a form of environmental management. 〔Discussion〕 The study’s outcomes suggested that the motivational instruction of practice instructors tends to improve with educational climates characterized by high morale, leading to the manifestation of the role behavior.
