We have been investigating the existence of extraordinary bio-perception, such as ESP (extra-sensory perception) beyond the five senses. In this paper, we report some positive results for this existence through the experiments using the platinum and Qi-water carried out by a supersensitive person. He perceived the platinum inside of the black film case (recognition rate: 712/1000), on the other hand normal persons did not perceive it (recognition rate: 504/1000). Moreover, he perceived the Qi-water made by himself (recognition rate: about 70%). Through these experiments, we can strongly suggest the existence of unknown information system. At the same time we have measured physiological changes of him during his perceiving operation, and catched big changes during it. Especially his skin temperature of fingertips fell greatly. This suggests that the flow of his peripheral blood diminished largely.

A peculiar case of biomedical effects was found to exist, where lots of perspiration on palms of a subject appeared, and temperatures of the palms were decreased consider ably during and after an irradiation onto a Laokung (HC3, PCS) by an external qi emitted from an artificial qi-generator made of a 80kHz quartz resonance system. This temperature-decreased and perspiring condition was kept about 40〜60 minutes after the irradiation, being accompanied with an irritationlike stimulation and a warm sensation in the Laokungs. Biomedical effects of the irradiation by the qi-generator were studied for this peculiar case. A drastic recovery of the grip strength was found to occur after the several irradiations onto the Laokungs of the subject. Changes in blood pulses and pressures also appeared.

The image recollection of shooting of Japanese archery was measured by a single square voltage pulse method (SSVP) and near infrared oxygen metabolism monitor. In the case of Japan student champion of Japanese archery '93, AP, the autonomic nervous system related parameter, increased at imaging of "uchiokoshi" the stage of lifting up the bow, and decreased at "kai", balancing state and "hanare", drawing stage. However, when measuring with expert of Japanese archery with 5 dan (grade), AP exhibited only slight changes indicating severe balancing and strong self-control throughout the whole imaging stage. The striking contrast of AP behaviour compared with archery case was observed in the image recollection of chess game, which showed considerable decrease of AP suggesting calm state with deep concentration. The difference between imaging of archery and chess game can be interpreted as follows. Japanese archery is a sport essentially dominant of stretching movement and imaging of it may cause sympathetic nerve excited, whereas imaging of chess game is rather visual and abstract mental task.

Qi-gong of Sato method was studied by means of several physical technique in order to measure biophysical changes brought upon by transition of conscious states caused by Qi-gong operation. Measurements used are a single square voltage pulse method (SSVP), near-infrared photometry, thermography, accelerated plethsmograph and EEC. It was clarified that when Qi-gongist operates Qi to switch over to different Qi-level his sympathetic nerve was excited at hand, and in his brain blood flow increased at first and then exhibited a moment of deficiency of oxygen. The Qi-receiver was observed to be affected by Qi-operation but not quite synchronously, judging from the measurement with SSVP. The EEG of the Qi-gongist showed strong α_1 wave, indicating relaxed state throughout all the different Qi-levels. On the other hand, Qi-receiver's EEC showed relatively strong coexistence of θ and β wave especially in L7. The characteristics of Qi-level appeared clearly in APG index and temperature of both Qi-gongist and Qi-receiver with the same tendency. That is, in L1 state temperature raised and APG index was low, whereas in L7 state temperature was relatively low but APG index was high. In the L7 state many subjects mension about floating and comfortable or sometimes extension feeling to the universe. These sensation is together with above noted facts.

The "Qi" sustains daily living and reveals itself in two different modes, "Jitsu" and "Kyo." "Jitsu" performs a state of tention or concentration, while "Kyo" a state of relaxation. In Buddhist temples, many standing images of Buddha showing "Kyo" rest their weight on left foot, on the contrary many Standing Devas and Acalas showing "Jitsu" on right foot. Based on analyses of body weight distribution, analysis was made on the degrees of the angle in pelvis obtained by giving pressure on each 6-part segment of foot sole. The changes of angles of three male subjects were recorded and analyzed. The analysis of the values from three subjects demonstrated that giving pressure upon IFR (inner fore of the right foot) shortened the distance between the left and right anterior superior illiac spines and performed a state of tension, where as diminishing the pressure on IFR made no changes or extended the distance slightly and performed a state of relaxation.

It is found that Space Taiji is presented in the common matters like electron, atom, molecule, and DNA, where the Space Taiji is formed by a pair of subunit and their interaction. The evidence that the Space Taiji plays a role in keeping up the structural stability in matters is demonstrated by analysis of the relationship between the structure of Space Taiji and the bounding energy of matters. It is suggested that the Space Taiji possesses the particular function of absorption and controlling energetic Qi in natural environment, and therefore, the Space Taiji can cause the stable matter existence. According to the assumption, a Dipole Model is proposed and used to construct Space Taiji artificially, pointing to explore and to control the energetic resource of Qi. Theoretically, two necessary steps are involved in the Dipole Model. The first, two groups of ions, i. e. +ion and -ion, are made from electric neutral matter, which are conducted to con- tract spiral circulation around each other. The second, the center region of the spiral circulation is controlled to keep up static and charge-less, in which energetic Qi is gathered up and refined. The two steps are called as from Wuji to Taiji (or, from 1 to 2) and from Taiji to Huangji (or, from 2 to 3), respectively. In order to test the Dipole Model, experimental apparatus with the structure of Space Taiji are built up and a series of experiments have been carried out. The results indicate that (1) controlling energetic Qi is possible by making use of artificial Space Taiji, (2) the energetic Qi stored in the Huangji can be classified and processed, and (3) the Dipole Model is agreement to the Yuanji Diagram Theory, therefore, the Yuanji Theory will play an important role in studying and controlling energetic Qi.

The part of the neoplasm was softened by the affecting AST Chiro Qi-Gong and for the patients of myoma of the uterus, the menorrhalgia was relieved and the menorrhagia was also decreased. Since the dyrmenorrhea and dysmenonhea are the most serious problems for patients of myoma of the uterus, Qi-Gong would be expected to be an immeasurably big role. Observation by a large intenstine scope suggested that the large intestine polyp was reduced and disappeared by the Qi-Gong treatment. As for the tumor of the colon and rectum, the root of the stalk of the tumor was effectively loosened and fallen off by AST treatment. Since the pulmonary tumor is located at the peripheral part of the trachea, we were not able to investigate the change of the tumor. However, it is remarkable that the tumor disappeared effectively by Qi-Gong treatment. Only the results of the limited number of samples were reported in this paper for the pulmonary tumor, large intestine polyps, tumor of the colon and rectum and myoma of the uterus. Therefore, additional clinical data should be taken in order to make clear the precise curing mechanism.

The concept of Mind-Body relationship in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is different than that in modern Western medicine (MWM). In MWM, there is the basic idea that mind and body are related to each other. Whereas specific substances are recognized as the common cause of disease of both mind and body in TCM, this idea is not popular in MWM. These substances are called Qi-Blood-Liquid, and the functional abnormality of the flow and the volume of them is significant. These disturbances are caused by the climate, several typs of mental stress, intemperate eating habits, careless sexual life, and many infectious diseases. Disturbance of the Qi condition (loss of volume and disorder of flow similar to the flow of blood) is especially deleterious to the health. Blood and Liquid are made from Qi; therefore, including the idea of Yin and Yang, therapy for Qi is the most important for both physical and mental disturbances. So for patients who show symptoms of disturbance in both mind and body, treatment for the abnormality of the Qi and/or Blood and/or Liquid is useful. This thesis states the clinical therapeutical methods applied from this point of view.
