Unhealthy persons were irradiated by artificial external qi emitted from a qi-generator made of a 80kHz quartz resonance system proposed previously, where this artificial external qi was named EQR (emission from quartz resonance). Changes in skin surface currents (for a constant applied voltage) related to excitement levels of autonomous nervous systems were investigated before and after the irradiations by the EQR. The currents showed statistically significant changes (p<0.01), as compared with those for placebo-EQR irradiations. The EQR irradiation has sedative and recovery effects in terms of making balance in meridian excitement current spectra.

It is well known that long term yoga exercises are effective ways to promote health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of four kinds of short-time yoga exercises on grip strength, which is a good index of physical condition. The subjects were a male with four years of yoga experience and 21 males and females of various ages without any yoga training. The experienced subject (Subj. Y.Y.) and one of the untrained (Subj. K.Y.) performed the following four kinds of yoga exercises five times separately or in combinations: 1) uddiyanabandha (UB; 10 min), 2) kapala-bhati (KB; 10 min), 3) asana (AS; 15 min) and 4) sukhapurvaka-pranayama (SP; 10 min). The rest of the untrained subjects (Subj. (UG)) performed UB only once. The subjects Subj. (M) and Subj. (m), who showed respectively the greatest increase and decrease of their grip strengths after UB, performed UB five more times. Grip strength was measured just before and after each performance with the use of a popular type (Smedley type) dynamometer. Our findings were as follows: 1) The grip strength of Subj. Y.Y. was significantly greater by 2.8-4.1 kgf after the exercises than before them. 2) The increases in the grip strength of Subj. Y.Y. were not the same for each of the four kinds of exercises when performed separately, and combinations of them did not increase grip strength any more than the individual exercises did. 3) The grip strength of Subj. K.Y. was smaller by 0.9-1.4 kgf after the exercises when performed separately, but showed a small nonsignificant decrease after the combination of UB and KB. 4) The grip strength of Subj. (UG) did not show any significant change after UB. 5) The grip strengths of Subj. (M) and Subj. (m) did not change after UB.

The aim of this study is to argue that, from the contex of cultural history, the deep meaning of "Touji" (Japanese hot-spring cure) is founded in the "reincarnation of life" and that in that background there exists a multi-stored complex of "Touji" thoughts such as ideas and thoughts of the Japanese (mental) climate, ancient animism, myths of agricultural society, the acclimatized Buddism, Confucianism, thought of "Qi" (life), and Western science of "Balneotherapie". Next, the meanings of "Touji" thoughts are identified as the "regeneration of natural healing power" on the basis of Yuasa's theory of three mind-body (information) systems, specifically on his theory of third "emotion-instinct circuit" system. Finally, the deep meaning of "Touji" to mind-body is considered to be "unconscious sympathy" of mind-body in "Shoyo" play in terms of Taoism.

To understand systematically natural events (near-death experience and brain-death etc.) in the boundary area between science and religion, a new paradigm of philosophy is tried to be constructed. Through clarifying similarities and differnces between an ancient oriental philosophy ("Book of Changes") and a recent western one ("Dialectics of Nature"), there is proposed a newly developed paradigm of philosophy that is classfied into Dialectic Axiom and Dialectic Theorem. The axiom is defined that all events in the universe are composed of Yin-Yang, and are relative in space and change in time. The theorem is composed of the content where act the law of mutual change of quantity-quality and the law of No-Yes (change of cloth) when Yin and Yang penetrate each other, and the form where Yin and Yang branch and coalesce and the supplement where nothing and everything shift each other. When one sets the axiom at absolute axis and spirit and material at relative axes, and introduces the therem, there is born a new philosophical conception of the world named Dialectic One Dimensional Theory of Material-Spirit. It surpasses Decartes' Two Dimensional Theory, and answers the claim of quantum theory and can express that not only material evolves to spirit but also spirit degenerates to material.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a bicycle exercise with the intensity of 50% of maximum oxygen uptake on bio-impedance and grip strength. Skin conductivities related to meridian autonomous nervous excitements were measured by a neurometer. The conductivities were expressed as the values of corresponding electric currents. Grip strength, which is a good index of health, was measured by a Smedley type dynamometer. These measurements were made before and after each exercise. Our findings were: 1. When the intial values of the electric currents fell outside the healthy current region 40-80 μA, they changed closer to the region after the exercise. The rate of increase of the values under the region was greater than the rate of decrease of those above the region. 2. When the initial values of the electric currents were low and their graphic positions were distributed horizontally flat, the exercise pushed them up to the normal region. When the initial values were irregular, however, the exercise did not make the distribution flatter than before. 3. The above results 1. and 2. imply that the exercise is an effective physical stimulus to health in the way that it changes the levels of autonomous nervous excitements closer to the normal range. 4. Grip strength increased siginificantly or showed a tendency to increase, though not significant, after the exercise. The result implies that autonomous nervous excitements were adjusted by the exercise to recover balance.

We have confirmed that all living things emit external-Qi as long as they are alive by measuring external-Qi without contact to human body. Among them we are special interest in human body which also transmit Bio-Field Emission (BFE) in form of electro-magnetic radiation. We have measured these external-Qi before and after creative dance which is expected to be effective for mental diseased patients. In the last papers, we have reported firstly about these Qi changes just before and after the dance. Just after creative dance BFE was decreased as almost half than before. These results are understood as some mental stress in creative dancing made external Qi lower level than the controls. This report shows more exact data about these BFE changes before and just fater dance and farther 60 minutes later ones. Then we conclude the contraction of BFE just after the dancing will expand to a certain level higher than the controls.

The authors have already reported some positive results of the evidence of clairvoyance, where subjects could perceive letters or drawings on a sheet of paper which was rolled up or folded into small size, and placed in their hands or ears. Several researchers such as Chen Shouliang of Beijing University pointed out that human beings had the ability of clairvoyance universally, and that especially children got easily this ability by training etc. The authors report the verification of the hypothesis that clairvoyance can be evoked. Evoked clairvoyance tests using letters or drawings written by hand with a pen (four colors: red, green, blue and black) were carried out over four days, on fifteen Japanese school children without previous clairvoyance training. The test results for both shapes and colors of the target samples could support this hypothesis. For six children out of the fifteen clear clairvoyance was induced, and other five children were recognized to have the possibility of clairvoyance. In addition, positive factors and negative factors which influenced the acquisition of clairvoyance were observed.

This paper reports the measurement of "Qi" in the distilled water that was radiated with Non-Inductive-Coil (NIC). In the experiments, "Qi" was measured by the conductivity method that detected the increasing tendency of conductivity of the distilled water that was treated by "Zero-Magnetic-Field" formed with NIC. Here NIC was excited by each of three kinds of electric signals. The experiments revealed the follwing facts and some are added with notes. 1) The conductivity-increasing tendency of the distilled water (Set) which was not affected with NIC was smaller than that of the contrast distilled water (Sec), when the water in the temperature controlled water bath was being stirred. The result may mean that "Qi" came into the distilled water through the glass bottle wall from the water being stirred outside. 2) The conductivity-increasing tendency of the distilled water (Stt) which was treated with NIC was larger than that of the contrast water (Set). This probably indicates that more amount of "Qi" was absorbed in the distilled water under NIC treatment. 3) From the results of exciting signal patterns, PULSE wave produced the larger increase amount conductivity than COMPLEX SIN (1MHz+2MHz) was did. The PULSE wave is considered to have the higher productivity of "Qi" than the COMPLEX SIN (1MHx+2MHx) wave has. 4) According to t check test at 1% significance level, the significant values covered 75% of the total test results.

In modern science, zero means "nothing". However, "Zero Magnetic Field" of a non-inductive coil (NIC) has some kinds of influences on living things. We reported experimental results that hatching of fertilized eggs and growth of chicken are affected by the "Zero Magnetic Field" of NIC. A) We were found two point results from the hatching rate of eggs, live birth rate and weight increase of chickens. (1) In bad environments like to "Zero Magnetic Field" of NIC, the chicken growth can improve outcomes, however, in good environments it was decrease growth acceleration. (2) The kind of excitation wave slightly affected hatching rate of eggs and growth rate of chicken. B) From the rate of increase of chicken's height and weight, several results can be found. (3) High-frequency random signal wave generated by TESLA can brought a good advance, but low-frequency pulse signal wave brought restraint results. The results of SIN (1MHz+2MHz) wave showed middle disposition between TESLA wave and pulse wave. (4) The average rate of increase chicken's height and weight was about 4.5〜5.0%. (5) T-test (p<0.01) of the average rate between chicken's height and weight, we found up to 22% difference. C) The results of both acceleration and restraint at the minimal and maximal values of distribution were markedly different. To sum up, "Zero Magnetic Field" of NIC does not mean "nothing", but we were guessed it was the matter and energy. The affect of "Zero Magnetic Field" is required further research.

This paper is intended as an investigation of the use of "Qi" energy, as found in Japanese art form of body techique. In contrast to the Western approach to sports training, based on muscle development. The Japanese deffers in that the quality of power, which refrains muscle emergy, is refereed to as "the use of power". This can be found in relaxing power of "Qi". As long as muscle is considered to be the principle of power; the human capacity of movement will decline with the physiological muscle deterioration. When using "Qi" energy ones ability is not affected by muscle weaking. Which suggests the body can developed throughout one's life span. Western body aesthetics and muscle movement can be seen in the work of Greek sculptors, who modeled their works on yong athletes, which are considered to be representation of ideal beauty in the Western world. In contrast to the Japanese ideal image desplayed by Buddist statues, in which beautiful silence and peaceful impressions are captured, these qualities are often modeled on aging men. Japanese sensibility which values natural harmony can be seen in the Japanese body technique of "Qi". All four limbs of muscles are under controlled of voluntary nervous system which is intentionally controlled by one's self. Therefore the body technique which is based on muscle power, when the world appers conqured uuder man's intention, and the relationship of the world and the individual appear to be "conquer" and "conqured". On the other hand, when useing the "Qi" method of respiration, entrusting oneself to the natural flow within the body which cannot be controlled intentionaly. This demonstrates the use of "Qi" where the innner nature within the body and outer nature of the world become synchronized. The two worlds of the individual and his environment become one. Consequently, this principal of body technique distinguishes the characteristics of Wentern culture and Japanese culture.

Waters, 5 types of mineral waters and a distilled water, were irradiated by artificial external qi emitted from a qi-generator made of a 80kHz quartz resonance system previously proposed by one of the authors, where this artificial external qi was named EQR (emission from quartz resonance). Changes of water structures before and after the EQR irradiation were investigated by NMR spectroscopy. The line widths of 170 magnetic resonance of 170 nucleus were measured for the 30 min EQR irradiated waters by NMR spectroscopy. It was found that the values of the line widths were decreased by the EQR irradiation, indicating that the size of water clusters became smaller than those without irradiation. However, an electromagnetic field generator didn't cause any significant changes in water structure within 1 hour irradiation, indicating the weak electromagnetic waves do not influence on the water structures.

In China, treatments on patients are being conducted by using external and internal Qi. However, the effects generated from external Qi has not been evaluated. Mice were used in the present research to clarify the effects of external Qi on mice. Cancerous cells (Sarcoma 180) were injected to the inguino region and Qi-gong Master applied external Qi to the multiplying cancerous tissue. Four weeks later the tissue was extracted and the external diameter and weight of the tissue were measured. The experiments were repeated seven times, using a total of 102 mice. The weight of the cancerous tissue extracted from mice in the non-treatment group weighed 3.21±0.43g after four weeks. The cancerous tissue from mice applied with external Qi treatment weighed 1.83±0.29g (p<0.05). When the application of external Qi for a duration of 25 minutes and 50 minutes were compared, the 50-minute treatment was more effective and resulted in a higher rate of reduction. The results of the experiments of three Qi-gong masters did not differ. Based on the above results, it was acknowleged that external Qi treatment has suppressing effects on the multiplication of cancerous tissue.
