    Hydraulic internal dam vibrator with hydraulic based machinery is used for the compaction of dam plastic concrete since the placing area is large. While dam concrete is placing in the field, an operator of dam vibrator judged completion of compaction for dam concrete. In this study, some unique techniques to evaluate compaction for dam concrete were proposed. Namely they are to monitor hydraulic pressure of vibrators, to monitor electric current by feeding voltage and to monitor noise level from hydraulic dam vibrator. The results showed that dam vibrator hydraulic monitoring system was the best way to evaluate compaction for dam concrete.
