'Elmo 16 mm film projector (model A)' was Japan's first domestically produced 16 mm film projector. In this paper, its inventor, Hidenobu Sakaki was reported. He was known as the "Genius of Inventions in Nagoya" At the time, the mainstream was 35 mm film projectors, which did not become popular because of portability and setting up issues. Sakaki believed in the possibility of use of small-scale projectors in the education sector, and with this idea in mind, he thoroughly studied an imported 16 mm toy projector. After some setbacks, he managed to successfully create the first 16 mm film projector, model-A. It was the first domestically-made small-scale film projector in Japan, and was driven by hand.

In the previous study that authors mentioned on the investigation into oxcart of the Ephesus museum, authors noticed that the state of assembling of wheels to axle was strange. That is, the wedges (lynchpins) did not fit tightly against wheels and large clearance existed between them. In this study, authors report two kinds of solid circular plate wheels that were found accidentally in the backyard of the restaurant of Dinar (Apamea of ancient Greece era). Irrational state of Ephesus's wheel mentioned above will be made clear from the wheels found in Dinar.

The research & development center of Takasago Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd. is keeping and exhibiting so-called Takasago and Ebara Type Centrifugal Refrigerating Machine as the first Centrifugal Refrigerating Machine made in Japan. This centrifugal refrigerating machine has been approved as the mechanical engineering heritage 2010 by JSME. In this paper, we report about how it was developed in Japan and its detail technical items. Furthermore, we introduce about great contributions by Mr. Masanosuke Yanagimachi who developed Takasago and Ebara Type Centrifugal Refrigerating Machine.

After the Tohoku Earthquake of 2011, the decontamination of radioactive materials from the contaminated areas is a prime task, and the safe and efficient decontamination methods have been required. This paper describes a new system of water-jet technology on the decontamination of radioactive materials using a self propelled robot, The effective decontamination has been achieved by this system. The development of this system will be desired for the efficient and stable decontamination of radioactive materials hereafter.
