This paper concerns about the patients with oral metachronous multiple primary cancer who were treated at our department from 1990 to 2003. The incidence of oral metachronous multiple primary cancer was 10 (3.9%) among 257 patients with oral cancer. Among them, 7 cases were male and 3 were female. The age ranged from 45 to 88 years old and their average was 65.6 years old. The average time interval between the primary cancer and the secondary one was 5 years and 5 months. Histologically, they were almost well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. Most of them was highly associated with precancerous lesions and condition, and was superficial in the tumor invasion.
