Treatment of patients with epilepsy was the mainstream of clinical psychiatry in Japan. However, in Japan today, many patients with epilepsy are being treated by doctors other than psychiatrists. Etiological data showed that the incidence and morbidity of epilepsy were highest in patients over 65 years of age. Naturally, dementia is increasingly prevalent among the elderly. Therefore, this evidence means that psychiatrists must have skills and knowledge not only for the treatment of dementia but also for epilepsy. Several cases with epilepsy require psychiatrist follow-up for ideal treatment. It is an unexpected pleasure if the current paper will be a small first step of epileptology for a psychiatrist.

　解離性体験は臨床場面のみで見られる病理的なものではなく，日常生活の中でも報告されている。本研究では，解離性体験と心理学特性との関連を明らかにするために，大学生205名に対して，解離性体験尺度（DES），悩み体験尺度，情動制御尺度を実施し，相互の関連性を調べた。DES得点を元に4群に分け,分析を行った。その結果，解離性体験が高い人は悩みとの距離が取りにくく，情動制御が苦手，公的自己意識が高いことが示された。これらには主体性の低さが関与している可能性が考えられる。以上の結果から日常解離性体験を多く経験する心理的背景に主体性や制御力の低さ,及び対人不安を感じやすい傾向が関連していると示唆された。

　40年以上の罹病期間のある統合失調症の患者が，徐々に精神症状と身体症状が増悪し，症候性の低血糖を呈して，甲状腺機能低下症を合併していることをようやく診断し得た。症候的には統合失調症の陰性症状との鑑別が困難であった。病因論の考察を含めて報告する。
