Using an adequate flow model for the two-dimensional turbulent reattached jet which has a very complicated structure, most of the static characteristics of the wall attachment device have been analyzed consistently by the author. Main features of this paper are as follows:
(1) It has been concluded that the control volume model is identical with the attachment point model.
(2) Unsymmetrical velocity profile is introduced into the model of the reattached jet. Such a consideration is necessary for analyzing the jet reattachment in a wide range of the offset. However, the velocity profile may be symmetrical if the offset is small.
(3) A method of analyzing the input characteristics, including the switching characteristics is presented. Various modes of slow switching are discussed from the view point of physical stability of the reattached jet.
(4) A method of analyzing the output characteristics of load-insensitive type is presented, using some empirical relations.
