Organic/inorganic hybrid materials were prepared from a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) and some kinds of titaniumalkoxides (TTE, TTIP, TTB) by utilizing a sol/gel process. In the hybrid materials, the dielectric constant kept lower values than that of unmodified system at room temperature. The network structure of the hybrid materials modified with the titaniumalkoxides were characterized with Fourier transfer infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy.FT-IR results showed that the condensation reaction between the alkoxide groups of titaniumalkoxides and the hydroxyl group formed by the ring opening reaction of epoxy group was occurred in the curing process of epoxy resin.Observation using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that the titania segments was uniformly dispersed in the hybrids.
