    Severalacrylicsiloxane-phenylesterswerepreparedbyesterificationreactionsofsiloxanecompoundscontainingtwoorthreehydoxyphenylgroupswithacryloylchlorideormethacryloylchloride.Byusingbenzoinethyletherasaphotoinitiator.thesebi-andtri-functionalsiloxaneacrylateswerepolymerizedtogivecrosslinkedfilms.Andthephotocrosslinkedcopolymersweregeneratedwithmethylmethacrylateordimethylaminoethylmethacrylate.theirpropertiessuchasheatresistance,waterrepollency,andsurfacehardnesswereevaluated.TheresultsofRamanspectroscopyandgelationratioshowedthatphotocrosslinkingofacrylicsiloxane-phenylestersproceededmorethanmethacrylicsiloxane-phenylesters・Heatresistanceofacrylicsiloxanephenylesters,which5wt%losstemperaturewashigherthan400℃,werehigherthanthatofmethacrylicsiloxane-phenylesters.Itwasfoundthatwaterrepellencyofphotocrosslinkedfilmsbyameasurementofwatercontactanglewasdependentonthecontentsofsiloxanegroups
