For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey targeting remote local governments that were implementing cooperative projects. As a result, we discovered that while in some cases the development of these projects was an extension of preexisting cooperation, in other cases the availability of grants provided the opportunity to create new relationships for the purpose of developing cooperative projects. Furthermore, we found that newly established cooperative projects could be classified into two types: the “autonomous” type and the “mediated” type.

For each city the population densities (Areas without residents have been excluded) in suburban residential areas with potential increase in citizen isolated from shopping facilities has been compared. When the population density becomes ≤60 persons per hectare, more than 50 percent of the entire area will become areas with citizens isolated from shopping facilities. Subsidy systems become effective incentives to improve the dwelling performance. To maintain and manage houses, long-term plans are important. At the time of periodic inspections and renovation, diagnosis and advice by experts such as architects are needed. Experts such as builders who related with residents continuously in small repairs are important, too.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have entered wide use in recent years for various purposes. The need to inspect and survey high-rise buildings and other structures is expected to drive growth in the use of UAVs. However, achieving widespread use of UAVs for structural inspections will require not just determining the required performance and settings for UAV units and cameras, but efforts to promote the sharing of basic drone inspection knowhow. This paper presents the results of our testing to establish ideal drone operating and image-capturing methods for structural inspections and surveys.
