During the last decade, mobile devices have been adopted into the field of medical science. Specifically, the use of mobile devices has expanded into the field of medical radiation technology where they are being used as supplementary tools. The aim of thi s study was to review the literature between March 2014 and March 2017 related to the use of iPhone medicine and/or mobile medicine, particularly in the field of medical radiation technology. The databases of Medical Online and Ichushi Service were used to search the papers published in Japan and the PubMed database for those published in overseas. When using limited keywords, it was found that
“Ichushi Service” resulted in more hits than “Medical Online,” indicating that “Ichushi Service” published more high-impact academic papers than “Medical Online ”. Among the total number of related papers in PubMed, we found 0.166% of papers using the keyword “radiation”. Then, at least 10 papers related to the field of medical radiation technology were extracted and a nalyzed using the bibliometric method. This literature survey clarified the way of thinking and various tasks in the field of medical radiation technology. We look forward to seeing how iPhone medicine and/or mobile medicine will play an important role for promoting the medical environment as an
innovation.
