Harmonic interference in high-voltage distribution systems, such as reactors that conform to the old JIS,is particularly pronounced in phase-leading equipment. As the capacities of reactors and capacitors are specified to be larger in the more recent JIS,traditional problems are less likely to occur in new equipment. However, since phase-leading equipment that conforms to the old JIS is still in operation everywhere, close attention should be paid to harmonic interference, which is known to have occurred frequently in the past.
To study mitigation measures of harmonic interference,it would be useful to elucidate the mechanism by which harmonic interference occurs in phase-leading equipment. Here,we analyze this mechanism using an numerical simulation and validate the results by experiment.
