Many of the high-voltage consumers have installed the static capacitors (SC) for power factor improvement. However, in many cases SC is always input to distribution systems for cost reduction. As a result, a power factor of distribution line becomes leads. It has led to the voltage rise at distribution line by Ferranti phenomenon. As a countermeasure, the installation of automatic power factor controller (APFC) that controls SC automatically is highly effective. In order to introduce of APFC to the high voltage customers，the authors have developed the APFC controlled by current for cost reduction. However, since the proposed control logic for controlling the SC using current is complicated, we improved control logic of APFC controlled by current. In this paper, we propose a new control logic of APFC controlled by current . And, we evaluate controlling of SC by the new APFC installed by a consumer.
