    In this paper, learning support system about physical dynamics (especially impulse) using multiple tablet PCs and portable haptic devices (called as SPIDAR-tablet) is proposed. In this system, the virtual environment to perform experiments about physical dynamics is constructed. All users using this system can access this virtual environment from tablet PCs. And by using haptic devices, users can feel various forces (touch force, impulse and so on) in virtual environment. In addition, interconnected tablet PCs share a virtual environment therefore it is expected that proposed system is used for collaborative learning. In the verification, it was confirmed learner's discrimination threshold on virtual environment. And it was shown that the learner can experience variation of impulse in the virtual environment by using haptic devices.

    The purpose of this research is to provide the graduate students with repeated opportunities to improve transferable skills including 11critical thinking'', ``collaboration'', ``ICT literacy'', and ``personal & social responsibility'' by collaborating with other students and to connect through technology in classroom education. We are now applying a peer review model with a video reporting system which has a large possibility to realize such education by time-shifting a part of education to individual work. In this paper, we will report a use case for the peer review model in our classroom lectures. From the results of the lectures, most of all students felt the peer review was difficult but a number of them answered using the video report system made peer assessment easy.

    We propose a manga card sorting to increase the occurrence frequency and learning effect of constructive interaction in the manga case method. The manga card sorting, a kind of card sorting, is making hierarchical groping of manga panels to express his or her own viewpoints. It can be expected that the manga card sorting promotes subjects to improve understanding of his or her own viewpoints and understand other subject's viewpoints. We conducted an experiment with manga card sorting. In the result, we found that the constructive interaction occurred in the experiment. Moreover, the interview of subjects suggest that the manga card sorting promotes promote subjects to improve understanding of his or her own viewpoints and understand other subject's viewpoints.

    Previous researches on supporting EFL (English as a Foreign Language) reading showed that Kit Build concept mapping (KB-mapping) method has better efficiency than Scratch Build concept mapping (SB-mapping) method in recalling the comprehended information two weeks later. In this research, we set out to investigate the following research question "Why KB-mapping method has better efficiency than SB-mapping method in recalling the comprehended information two weeks later?". One of the common comprehension styles in the EFL reading comprehension tasks is the sentence-by-sentence, where learners understand the text by closely following each sentence in the text. Learners will be able to sentence-by-sentence answer the Comprehension Test (CT) just after the reading, but many investigations indicated that, this understanding could not be kept for a longer time as is the case in the Delayed CT (DCT). We have an assumption that KB-mapping method promotes a learner to read not sentence-by-sentence, although SB-mapping method does not promote same as KB-mapping method. In order to confirm this assumption, we conducted an experiment to compare the learner's comprehension with KB-mapping and SB-mapping methods. The outcome of the experiment confirms our previous results regarding the efficiency of KB-mapping. Moreover, the analysis of the progress of map building gives a proof that although KB-mapping method helps the learners to avoid the sentence-by-sentence comprehension style the SB-mapping method could not help the learners to escape from this style of comprehension.

    The objective of this research is to propose a method to create natural language history questions using current LOD. By combining LOD with a history domain ontology and a history domain dependent question ontology specifying a domain-independent taxonomy, our method can generate content-dependent questions. To be able to support learning, the quality of the questions need to be high. We evaluated the quality of the generated questions by asking a human expert to compare them to questions created by human. The results showed that the system generated question could cover most (84%) of the question supporting basic knowledge acquisition. The results also confirmed that the system generated questions could enhance historical thinking with the same average quality as human generated questions.

    Estimation of learners' mental states during the interaction between teacher and learners is very important issues from quality of learning environment design point of view. In this experimental study, relationship between teacher's utterances, behaviors, learner's physiological indexes and mental states were tried to be detected by the association rule detection method. After that some additional trials to formalize relations between mental states and some physiological information of learner were carried out. As a result, some meaningful generalized rules have been detected.
