The Rf values og various-standard sugars were measured by the paper partition chromato graphy in the ascending method by use of
n-butanol-acetic acid-water (4: 1: 2) or watersaturated phenol as the developer. We recognized a small difference in the Rf values of the same standard sugar according to manufacturers.
Fructore, glucose and maltose were found in red wine and white wine, and fructore, glucose and sucrose in cognac. No sugars were found in calvados.
Glucose and sucrose were detected in one of aperitif samples, fructore, glucose and sucrose in another one, and fructore, glucose and maltose in the rest five of them.
