The detection of amino acids in several kinds of miso in free state was repeated by the one and too-dimensional dev elopment methods. Different spots were detected according to the method used and for different kinds of miso. The following amino acids have been detected, cystein, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, serine, asparagine, glycine, alanine, valine and eucine. The presence was obscure for histidine, theronine, lysine, proline, tyrosine, isoleucine, cysteine and phenylalanine.
