In this paper, we developed scales for assessing dispositions to mathematics for teachers and
students in elementary schools. In order to develop scales for dispositions to mathematics of techers and
students, we carried out two tests on a total of 137 teachers and 332 6th grade students in elementary
schools. We then conducted exploratory fact analysis on the results of two tests, as follows:
・Two factors were selected from respective items of two tests taken by teachers and students.
・Cronbach's α coefficients of reliability were positive for two factors.
・The Goodness of Fit Index(GFI), Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index(AGFI), and Root Mean Square
Error of Approximation(RMSEA) were positive for respective items in two tests in terms
of confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, the respective items of the two tests were deemed to be
valid.
After analysis we evaluated the relationships between dispositions to mathematics for teachers and
students.
