A group of the new reactive dyes with 2, 4-diamino-1, 3, 5-triazy1-6-imino group (1) was synthesized by means of the following method.
Although these dyes themselves have not the reactive group, it is anticipated that the dyes can be co-polycondensed with resin and the resin can combine with OH-group of fibre, when the dyes (1) are absorbed on the cellulosic fabrics (cotton, viscose rayon) together with catalyst ((NH

4) and any initial condensation product of the amine-formaldehyde resin and then the dyeings are heated at 140-150° C for 10-20 min.
The resin to be used for this process may be dimethylol urea N, N'-bismethoxymetbyl urea, tetramethylol acetylenediurea, dimethylolethyleneurea and trimethylolmelamine, which are generally used to the resin reatment of fabrics.
The fabrics dyed by the described method, had the considerable fastness for the wet treatment and light, although it showed a small difference by the dye construction.
Thus, it is thought that these dyes combined with fibre by the resin.
