In this paper, the programming principles and FORTRAN-77 source code of the terrain visualization tool-kit “TERRAMOD” is presented. The TERRAMOD that was implemented on a UNIX based workstation is useful for generating three dimensional terrain model using digital elevation data. The TERRAMOD includes visualization options such as the display of contours, color coded contours, shaded relief and color coded shaded relief model that can be interactively selected by the user. The display graphics of TERRAMOD are supported by standard X-library functions. The TERRAMOD is, therefore, adaptable to a wide-range of UNIX based computers and it does not need to be supported by any customized graphics software.
