This paper studies a practical prediction method tor data transmission performance of WEB building remote monitoring system over the Internet. Taking a WEB gateway for packaged air-conditioners as an example，field tests over inter-continental Internet have been carried out to measure the WEB monitoring screen access time as well as the PING round trip time and packet loss rate. The WEB monitoring data transmission times are calculated by a theoretical TCP/IP throughput equation using the measured PING round trip times and loss rates. The results of field tests and theoretical calculations matched well enough for preliminary consideration of the data transmission performance of the Internet WEB monitoring systems.
Damage of piping in geothermal plants is becoming a major issue in the industry. Therefore，we are investigating a system to detect flaws on cracked piping and mineral deposit face by using impact sensor. This paper confirmed that impact sensor output signals vary depending upon artificial deposit amount by using impact sensor.
