This paper discribes in the f irst place abouta remote control system for street lighting andother loads, we have devised.
The principal part of which the iron coreinductance coil, which generates higher harmonics, and the resonant relay. The coil is connectedin series with the distribution circuit at the substation, and its core is saturated mangneticallyby the main load current.At the receiving end the resonant relay, tunedfor higher harmonics, is operated by adjustingthe time inteval of harmonic impulse.In the next part we summarized some otherimportant remote control systems which havebeen proposed, as follows,
1. Systems by means of switching impulse.
2. Cascade control system
3. Pilot wire system
4. Systems by means of changing phase relation between feeders or line voltage.
5. Systems by superposition' of control current in power lines.
6. Time switch.
7. Photoelectric relays.
