Item response theory is applied to distinction tests using the photograph. In addition, the parameter of test item about visualization ability is presumed. In this research, 3-parameter logistic model was applied ; the relation of a difference about item parameters and figure-expression method are evaluated. The principal results of the experiments are as follows.
1) In the PIT, the value of (b) -parameters (threshold) of the test item about visualizing the interior space enclosed in one floor are lower than the exterior space and the interior space with the atrium opened through two floors. 2) In PIT, by changing the expression method to military projection, the value of (a) -parameters (slope) respectively went up. 3) In IMT, making an average of a student's capability value regular in about 18 months was confirmed. 4) The expression of relations as z=0.1646 x+ 0.3502 was obtained, between the capability value (x) of PIT and the capability value (z) of IMT through MCT.
