A 3-year-old Asian girl with a phacomatosis pigmentovascularis type IIb was seen at the outpatient clinic. The patient was treated with the dye laser (585nm, 6J/cm2, 450μs, 7mm), Q-switched ruby laser (694nm, 7J/cm2, 30ns, 4mm) and Q-switched alexandrite laser (755nm, J7/cm2, 50ns, 3mm) under general anesthesia at the interval of at least 4 months. As the outcome of the treatment was good to excellent, we believe that multiple laser treatment in childhood is an effective therapeutic tool in the treatment of both melanocytic and vascular lesions. We conclude that phacomatosis pigmentovascularis type IIb can be treated successfully by multiple laser treatment in childhood.
