The ISO 5657 ignitability test method was conducted to analyse the ignition time of fire-retardant-treated-plywood. Mono-ammonium phasphate, ammonium bromide and a commercial product which consists of ammonium polyphosphate were tested for, fire-retardants. Influence of fire-retardant on ignition time was dependent upon irradiance. When the irradiance level against plywoods was 3W/cm
2, the following retentions of each fire-retardant were needed in the minimum to depress the ignition of them: 70kg/m
3 of mono-ammonium phosphate, 80kg/m
3 of the tested commercial product and 30kg/m
3 of ammonium bromide.
