Descriptions are made here on a micro-dispenser highly improved in accuracy and stability in the dispensed volume and dispensing time of viscous fluid. The improvement has been achieved by introducing a multi-pulse controlling system which is composed of a pulse generator containing a quartz-crystal oscillator. Various parameters in this system which govern the dispensed volume have been investigated in detail, and it has been proved that this system functions well with high acctiracy and stability. This system is applied to the sub-assembly of watch circuit boards, and is contributing in practice to the manufacturing process by combining high accuracy with low cost.

The new structure gold alloy plating consists of high-karat and low-karat gold alloy plating and nickel-phosphorus alloy multilayer plating, The Mechanical properties of as-deposited and heat-treated gold alloy multilayer plating in a new structure are reported here. properties determined in the as-deposited condition include tensile strength, hardness, internal stress and crystallization of thermal diffusion elements. Thermal diffusion elements, resistance to wear and corrosion are also determined at room temperature for deposits heat-treated at 320℃ for l hour in a vacuum atmosphere. the work shows the improvements in mechanical properties of gold alloy plating for watch cases.

The purpose of this paper is to present a newly developed high speed spherical lapping system. First, some considerations on the various methods of crystal blank frequency control are made. Then, the experimental observations on the dynamic response of plano-convex AT-cut crystal blank under a certain lapping condition are reported. Next, the operating principle of " auto frequency control system " for the precise adjustment of the fundamental frequency with shaping process is explained. Using the above-mentioned method to realize so called "industrial robot", the automatic fabrication system of crystal blanks is built, which also provides the blank and wet abrasive auto-feeders.

The present paper is concerned with a quartz-crystal oscillator of which frequency temperature characteristics are improved by using two crystals. The feature of the oscillator is that the two Crystals which act to compensate temperature characteristics with each other are coupled with two C-MOS invertors, respectively. The C-MOS invertor circuit can operate at a low voltage and with a low power consumption by connecting two gates of complementary FET's separately, one to the earth and the other to the power source through appropriate resistances. Two types of the oscillator circuits, 1 ) series excitation and series control, and 2) parallel excitation and series control, are investigated, and the results are verified by experiments. Another circuit in parallel excitation and series control with lower power consumption is also mentioned here.

One of the major reasons why speech synthesis technology, one of the best conceivable methods for conveying information between machine and man, did not come into more widespread use in the past is the fact that the cost of the necessary circuit was too expensive. However, the maturity of LSI technology has now made practical speech synthesis possible, and during the recent few years many speech synthesis LSIs have been put on the market by Japanese. as well as foreign semiconductor producers. Moreover, speech synthesis LSIs have also begun to be employed in wide-ranging areas, as products that apply speech synthesis LSIs to the range from industrial machinary to household electric appliances, and even toys.
