An appropriate evacuation plan is effective in reducing human damage when a disaster occurs. It is difficult to do Large-scale practical experiments to verify the effectiveness of evacuation plans. The purpose of this research is to verify the evacuation plan with a demonstration experiment method using 3D evacuation simulation. In order to realize this method, we created a three-dimensional simulation using geographic information provided by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan, and conducted a tsunami evacuation simulation in the Hashirimizu district Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Pref. As a result, we confirmed that it is possible to do numerical evaluation of the evacuation plan according to the conditions and can contribute to the optimization.

A numerical surface layer model is digital data representing the surface shape of the ground including buildings and trees, and is used in various fields such as terrain analysis and simulation. As a typical generation method, there is a method using LIDAR. This is realized by registration (registration) between the scan point group observed by the three-dimensional point group processing and the past scan point group. At present, it is common to use multiple sensors other than LIDAR for registration. The purpose of this study is to improve the registration accuracy of LIDAR alone, and to generate a numerical surface model at a lower cost, and proposed a method using clustering by normal vectors. We compared the accuracy with previous studies and improved accuracy at intersections with large azimuth changes.

Utilization of 3D data obtained with real space surveys is attracting attention with the improvement of 3D measuring and computer processing. SfM-MVS is one of 3D measuring technology using multi-viewpoint images, its process requires a group of images with overlapping regions, however it is difficult to acquire the data set, generally. In this report, we proposed a method to select frame images suitable for SfM-MVS processing from video stream, and showed the numerical evaluation result. From the experiment results, it was found that the calculation cost can be reduced with maintaining the positional accuracy by SfM-MVS processing on the continuous images with appropriate overlap.

The main diseases of the lumbar spine include spondylolysis , spondylolisthesis and fractures. Spinal fusion is used to treat thes e diseases, and careful preoperative planning is important. Generally, in preoperative planning for spinal fusion, it is necessary to extract bone regions from CT images and classify the lumbar spine into L2 to L5. However, accurately extracting and classi fying the surface shape of the lumbar vertebrae is a time time-consuming task because it involves a lot of dialogue work in units of slice images. In this study, we aim to improve the accuracy of spine extraction by adding boundary information to automatic segmentation using FCN.

An Interior layout is designed based on a user subjection in many cases, thus it is difficult for all uses to design the best layout. Therefore, we develop an interior layout aided design using a subjective evaluation in this paper. The proposed system first shows a user eight layout candidates designed by genetic algorithm and Q-learning. A user evaluates each layout candidates, and the system designs a final layout candidate improved by these evaluation values. By observer study, we ascertained the system showed a good layout candidate.

The “Bonburi de Planetarium”, which easily creates an all all-surround image to be projected on a planetarium, uses a fisheye lens to take pictures of a styrofoam made of foam. In this research, the fisheye lens part was improved to a 360 degree camera, and the shooting range could be extended to the whole celestial sphere.

It is necessary to restrict the number of ICA basis to reduce the amount of additional information in the ICA-DCT hybrid image coding with both DCT basis and ICA basis which is inherent in a given input image. In our previous study, the effective ICA basis has been determined by using the cumulative improvement of image quality when DCT and ICA basis are applied respectively to an input image at the lower bit rate. This paper presents a selection method of the optimum basis combination in each small block of an input image using MP method under the condition that all basis of both DCT and ICA are possible to use. It is seen in our experiment results that the coding performance of the ICA-DCT hybrid image coding is somewhat superior to the only DCT case.
