    This paper presents the generation of an azimuth difference picture pair for a 3-dimensional display. It is with a set of two video cameras, and parallax-images captured by the each camera. From the correspondence relation between parallax-images pair, each pixel depth is computed and the depth map is created. A 3-dimensional model is created from the depth map, and parallax-images generated from a different eye point. An observer's eye position is measured on real time by the pupil position detection method developed at our laboratory. By changing parallax-images in accordance with a motion of an observer, the 3-dimensional display with high realistic sensation is enabled.

    We aim at the development of the auto-stereoscopic display system for home theater using a Fresnel lens so that 3D movie can be easily enjoyed by the large screen at home. Since viewing zone is small in usual auto-stereoscopic display, an observer's position and posture should be fixed. If a posture is fixed, the observer will get tired very much when the observer sees video for a long time. In this report, the performance of the Fresnel lens used as a screen is evaluated, and the Fresnel lens suitable for this equipment is designed.

    In recent years, the high realistic videos are required at homes, such as home theater. Huge time and high cost, however, are taken to make new contents about 3-D scenography. In this research, we propose the method of 2D/3D conversion which reproduces more faithfully anteroposteriore relationship among two or more objects. At first, we extract each object from monocular video. Based on epipolar geometary, the relative distance from the camera to each object is calculated. Finally we make disparity images that reflecte the anteroposteriore relationship.
