In generation of human behaviors in a virtual space, an ordinal method is to generate human behaviors according to predefined action patterns, however, in this case it requires a lot of work for preparing action patterns. Therefore, we have been researching an automatic generation method of student behaviors, which respond to the environment change. This paper describes an improvement of user interface by reducing parameters necessary for defining of behaviors, and by using a library specified for person actions. In addition, when it is expected for two persons to cross on their way, this method makes one person to avoid the other with a natural and short route. As a result, the proposed method enabled us to generate various kinds of student behavior in a virtual campus.

In order to generate a 2D digital map from an analog one, figure and character area should be separated and stored as digital data. This paper describes a removal method of character and sign area in a 2D map image. Character and sign area can be extracted with character feature and circular ratio. For extracted character candidate area, dotted line area can be extracted by removing character with dotted line feature and the feature of combined area of character and dotted line. Final 2D digital map is generated by combining the extracted feature and dotted line area. This method could remove character and sign area with various sizes and directions in 2D map image, and its removal rate was about 98%.

We propose a pigment mixing model by using the reflectivities of pigments which are obtained by a spectrum measuring instrument. With our model, it is possible to generate adequate color mixtures that are impossible to make in previous model. We propose a pigment mixing model by means of a concept of a basic subtractive color mixing, the Kubelka-Munk's theory, and the Duncan's theory. We also propose an interactive painting tool as an application of our digital pigment model.

Surface appearance is very important for creating realistic materials in computer graphics. In nature, the surface color of fabric objects changes as it interacts with the environment over time. Traditional material models in computer graphics are inadequate for modeling color changes of fabrics. In this paper we describe the acquisition and modeling of degraded fabric colors. We use photo-degradation to simulate the environmental interactions that create the color changes of fabrics and introduce a new aging model to predict degraded fabric colors. These simulations will be extended to model a physically motivated material model for fabrics in rendered scenes.

This method is piling up 2-D Display image of two from Observer viewpoint and changing luminance of 2-D Display images. It isn't analyzed completely relation to the faculty of sight characteristic of Human. Our study is verification to base principle of Depth Fused Display system from the faculty of sight characteristic of Human in focus. The Result was made evident a factor into binocular parallax and monocular stereoscopsis.

To express space two or more viewpoints is necessary for the reproduction of a space. In this paper it was attempted to create a space drawn in a painting and to establish a technique to produce interactive contents which allows us to trip into a favorite painting. The size of objects in a picture and the painter's location were obtained by analysis with the law of perspective. By introducing this perspective information into the TIP technique our goal was achieved.

We can recognize instantly the color from RGB 3-spectrums and we can recognize instantly the major/minor audio chord from do-mi-so 3-spectrums. The high speed odorant recognition may be achieved from the compound spectrums of the coupling vibration of the odor materials. By this assumption, we can unify three high speed human recognitions. We will try to proof this by experimental data in near future.

The signal-to-noise ratio, SNR, is well used for evaluating compressed images as an objective evaluation value. However, the impressions of observing images, even if the SNRs are equal, differ greatly, and it is known that it is dependent on images. Objective evaluation measures based on the lightness difference and the color difference between an original and a compressed images were used for the purpose of creating the measure which correspond subjective evaluation values and do not dependent on images. Furthermore, the average lightness and the average color differences as the average of colorimetric values of some pixels in consideration of the blur at the observation of images were also used. The four images in SCID were compressed by using JPEG and HPK. Comparison observation between the compressed and the original images was carried out, and subjective evaluation values were obtained. Correlations with the subjective evaluation value and the SNR, the lightness difference, the color difference, the average lightness difference and the average color difference between compressed images and original images were calculated. Consequently, it was found that average color difference showed the highest correlation coefficient to subjective evaluation value.

This work is created on the theme of the relationship between human beings and a computer. The text that is written about media of great possibility appears on two screens when a participant operates the keyboard of the computer. On the first screen, the text appears into the body in shape. And, the meaning of the text is screened on the second screen. When the text appear on the screen, a participant can understand the meaning of the text. In other words, a participant compares the body in shape that appears on the first screen to a participant's body. It follows from what has been said that, this work expresses that the body is the place where is connected media and information.

This work is the one using the technology of CG learnt at university as a graduation production and as an image work. The fight between the rat that steals the cheese and the master at the cheese shop is assumed to be a theme. Love and peace as a part of a small world are even felt a little. I think the theme to be able to show gentle feelings though stage talk is ordinary. This image gives priority again with the emphasis on the work as an experimental part. I used the technology I learned earlier as much as possible.

Moreover, the integration of the sound and the image was attempted by matching music to the timing of the image.
