    In this paper, outline of the "Digital Museum" project conducted by the university of Tokyo under the sponsorship of ministry of education of Japan. First, after basic principle of the project is discussed, three types of digital exhibition system: Digital Display Case, Digital Diorama and Outdoor Gallery are introduced. Also, several museum supporting systems which include Visitor's Behavior Monitoring System, Curator's Activity Supporting System, etc. are also introduced.

    Numerous technologies surrounding the stereoscopic 3D ( S3D ) imaging content production are rapidly evolving. As a result, S3D industries are enormously growing all over the world. The S3D imaging content has a wide range of applications in various fields. With developing display devices and production equipment for shooting and delivering, the S3D content enables to deliver not only in S3D-movie Theater and at a live event but also on 3D-TV set at home. Currently, it is highly expected for productions and broadcasters to produce a safe and attractive S3D imaging content. In order to achieve such S3D content production, they have to solve various issues. In this paper, we describe our recent works toward producing a "safe and attractive" hi-vision digital stereoscopic 3D imaging content. We also discuss effective workflows and fostering new talents and skills for those new types of 3D imaging productions.

    In many cases, perception and Kansei is integrated and appear as one consciousness in " here and now". The Kansei impressions relating to the high realistic sensation such as the impression of depth, texture and size seem not to be separated easily from the perception of depth, texture and size. However, while the perception of depth based on linear perspective or the perception of shadow is determined by local judgment, the impression of strangeness or inconsistency in the scene is perceived by global judgment across a whole scene. That is, perception and Kansei not only has the similar function but also work respectively with each characteristic. In this paper, through the trompe-l'oeil which is mistaken for actual objects in spite of just a painting and the miniature effect which is mistaken for miniature objects in spite of a real scene, I considered the reality of paintings and photographs, and further considered about perception and Kansei.

    The desire to visualize our imagination in new ways has encouraged the evolution of the media, while technical innovation has inspired our imagination. However, recent rapid advances in digital technology are leading the media not to represent human imagination but to mirror the actual world with ever greater reality. Can filmmakers’ imagination catch up with the hyperrealism of the visual media? Content creators must shed the bonds of 3D images and develop new styles of visual images.

    Major TV set makers in the world introduced the stereoscopic displays using glasses this spring. 3D displays are intended to give the same or more perception of reality at home as in a theater. The technology using glasses are consistent with current FPD one. Especially the high speed response of plasma displays can make high quality 3D picture. So far, the research and development have only started in the first stage. We will make progress them more.
