Nowadays, the interest for service industries became higher because economic scale by service industries reached above 70% in advanced nations. There is a servicizing of information industries in the center of this change. For example, cloud computing which changes computer assets from "have" to "use" is frequently discussed. However, we can't see the study of diffusion process of servicizing of information industries. One of the reasons seems that innovation diffusion theory has depended on linear model and this can't explain well the situation of information industries. Then, this paper tries to explain this situation by using two-sided platform theory.

Collaborative innovation strategies, including open innovation, shaping strategy, wikinomics and hybrid economies, have been proposed and practiced recently. The strategies promote collaboration between partners or external developers/reseachers on open platform and/or shared vision. Intellectual property systems should adapt to these new forms of collaboration and strategies. This paper examines these collaborative innovation strategies systematically, and problems of intellectual property rights in adapting those. Furthermore, this paper proposes an intellectual commons, that is, a commons of inventions.

The solar cell industry rapidly increases the worldwide production. Therefore, many companies want to enter the industry. As the results, I found technologies to enter the business diverge. Another approach is "Turn-Key System (TKS)", which is the vertical integral system to manufacture solar cell with total support service. The TKS is very unique solution to enter the new business for new entrants without knowledge and experience. I found the requirements of acceptance of the divergence technologies and the TKS are short process and high motivation to enter the industry.

This study revealed how the structure of corporate ownership affects its substantial growth especially long-term performances. We classified 1,323 listed manufacturing companies on TSE, whether 1) the founder or his/her family member was included one of the top ten shareholders, or 2) the founder or his/her family member was one of the board members. We focused on the cumulative profit representing long-term performances. First, we analyzed fiscal year 2004 data. And for the second analysis, we observed the changes/tendencies of cumulative profit of each company analyzed on the first test. Finally, we found that family firms showed better performance longer than others.

This paper first clarifies, through empirical analysis taking the case of company A, the factors for continuous KAIZEN activities in each department, and then examines common factors throughout departments. The paper also modifies the analytical framework for management of continuous KAIZEN activities built before from literature survey. The first step of the empirical case study is the overview of 25-years history about company A's KAIZEN activities through their internal materials, published ones and interviews. For the second step, we analyze a book of minutes of KAIZEN-related meetings over 5-years using Japanese language structure.

In this presentation, I present a method which includes several models in the field of consensus building for requirements analysis in software development. This method can solve the problem of requirement conflicts among stakeholders. The problem is regarded as a cause of "production rework", which is a reason of difficulty in modeling in software development. In addition, I also present a method about refinement of requirements which meet expression (ex. CTL or LTL) of Model Checking. This method is expected to be able to develop a high specification in upper process of software development. Moreover, I present a DSL in which a method described above is implemented. This DSL is to automate the series of process from requirements analysis to Model Checking.

Our study aims to understand mechanisms to maximize the performance of creative thinking and accelerate tool and system development for practical uses. In this study we provide a potential method for productivity management of intellectual productions, with a particular focus on meetings which are considered to typical transaction elements. First, we deduced a set of productivity elements of meetings and measured activities in a series of sampled meetings according to the suggested indicators. Then we generated regression models to evaluate significant positive and negative correlations between indexed activities and performance indicators. This trial provides a way of visualization for meetings and is expected to support an institutional approach for intellectual productivity management.

It is important for a firm to effectively use a variety of the existing practices and knowledge of the employees. However, dominant systems analysis (SA) is industrious in deriving systems requirements from a specific perspective, not shedding light on them. Phenomenology is an attitude and method that elucidates the structure and conditions with which social realities are being constituted. We will examine that phenomenology is conceptually consistent with an alternative SA we are interested in, and discuss that phenomenology can be considered a fundamental theory for the alternative SA methodology. Assuming Activity Theory (AT) as a candidate of the development base for the alternative SA, we will also discuss AT has a potentiality that materializes the alternative SA methodology.

We investigate whether the number and content of messages in BBS relates to the stocks return. We verify whether Fama and French 3 factor approve a portfolio by the number and contents of messages in TSE. We find that 3 factor model may not be approved because we find abnormal returns in portfolios with the highest number of bullish postings and the highest number of bear postings as well as the highest number of postings and the fewest number of postings. Next, we investigate that we add 3 factor model to two factors: the difference of the return of a portfolio with the highest number of messages and with the fewest, and the difference of the return with most bullish and with most bearish. As a result, we believe that the contents of messages in BBS may relate to a return.

With development of the recent ICT, a lot of corporations try to get a network organization which deals with a problem effectively by assigning appropriate employees. Our past research clarified the phenomenon how the quality of human relations between employees influenced the collaboration of neighboring employees by expanding the concept of triadic closure. To reflect this knowledge to a management method, based on an expanded conversation diagram of "Language / Action Perspective" to three or four persons, we discuss theoretical consideration on generating Collaboration from Communication in a network organization. And it evaluates the feasibility of a communication system which uses the management method of this knowledge.

This paper principally applied Kahn's research (1990) as a framework. Kahn defined personal engagement as the harnessing of organization members' selves to their work roles; in engagement, people employ and express themselves physically, cognitively, and emotionally during role performances. He also proposed that when the three psychological conditions of meaningfulness, safety and availability are present, individuals are likely to be more engaged in their work roles. A survey was conducted at a Thai manufacturing company to investigate the relationship between the three psychological conditions and employee engagement; and between employee engagement and proposed consequences i.e. task performance, organizational citizenship behaviors and withdrawal behaviors.

In this analysis, we investigate the efficiency of R and D of firms in telecommunication industry based on patent application data. In former studies, existence of significant correlation between the number of patent applications and firm's performance with a time-lag of about 3 to 5 years is shown in manufacturing industry and pharmaceutical industry. As for the domestic telecommunication industry, we show that there exists very strong correlation between patenting activity and firm's performance. It is considered to be unique to this industry that if the time-lag becomes shorter, the correlation becomes stronger. Based on econometric approach, we also discuss the difference of R and D strategy between domestic firms and foreign ones.

This paper aims to provide an application of an analytical framework for the analysis of coalition power in group decision situations based on the blockability index, taking the 39th Fiscal Year Shareholders Meeting of Aderans Holdings Co., Ltd. held in 2008 as an example. In this paper, the voting situation in the Meeting is mathematically modeled as a simple game, and each coalition's power is evaluated by the blockability index. Two types of analyses are made. First one is general, in which all coalitions are considered, and then, a more realistic analysis is made in which possible coalitions are restricted only to feasible ones based on each player's position. It is confirmed that the results of the analyses are consistent with the reality.

Nonaka's efforts to develop Drucker's thesis of Knowledge worker into framework resulted in the SECI model. The model is highly appreciated in both the U.S. and Japan. It is, however, widely perceived that the model does not work well at the operational level. This problem is two-tiered. One is can be referred to loose definition of tacit knowledge and unconscious perceptional difference of individual and group between the West and Japan, which are stemed from cultural differences and trap of psychological essentialism. The other can be referred to cycle of SECI model itself, i.e., externalization and internalization phases. This presentation puts its focus on internalization phase, and discuss how DSS can be applicable to solve the issue of internalization phase of SECI model.

This paper considers one of the significant aspects of the justification process underpinning concept creation in the organizational knowledge-creating process from the epistemology and the tacit knowing points of view, where we rely on a systems methodology instead of a trial-and-error approach for practice of organizational knowledge creation. The aspect of embodied knowledge from the tacit knowing is the key of consideration that focuses on the justification processes along practices of systems methodologies. Finally, some future research directions of the systems methodologies are suggested by employing the critical systems practice as an example.

Recently, the small and medium-sized enterprise in Japan has expanded the necessary working capital demand because of the expansion at the cash conversion cycle. As a result, it can be assumed that the fund raising capacity becomes weak, and the capex power decreases. On the other hand, in the case of a medium and small-sized business study, detailed analysis is disadvantageous in that it is difficult in a poor point in the reliability of data when individual data were able to acquire a point having difficulty with the acquisition. Therefore I use the data of the junior market in this study and want to decide to be able to go ahead through the argument mainly on the trend of the capex and the relations of the cash conversion cycle.

We introduce the concept of annual percentage rate(=APR) into Japan without its chaotic status of Europe and America of nowadays. In America the Federal Truth in Lending law, enacted in 1968 and modified in 1980, requires mortgage companies to disclose the APR when they advertise a rate and requires "meaningful disclosure of credit terms" and reflects a shift in emphasis from "let the buyer beware" to "let the seller disclose." It is designed to protect consumers against inaccurate and unfair credit billing and credit card practices too! Unfortunately, different lenders caluculate APRs differently! So a loan with a lower APR is not a necessarily a better rate. Here, we in Japan try to establish(=redefine) the APR of a loan as a gracious quality of the financial security.

A handsets "Osaifu-Keitai" equipped with a noncontact IC chip was released in 2004, then one of the main medium of e-values (e.g. a train ticket "Suica") has become the mobile phone. Because these e-values are circulated between companies by each alliance, Such e-values are generally called "Mobile value". Our work shows the exchange alliance network of the mobile values and elucidates on a social phenomenon by the social network analysis for this exchange alliance network. Moreover, we developed two indexes which are "Link Traffic Degree Centrality" and "Link Assets Closeness Centrality". Based on analysis of using these two indexes, it propose a viewpoint to secure the reliability of the whole networking system.

Convenience and the economy for user are raised as a factor of the spread of digital cash. However, it is thought that the corporate brand also influences the spread of digital cash. The questionnaire survey was executed for the PASPY (that is traffic IC card system in Hiroshima) user. Four factors (the convenience, the cost advantage, the expectation in the future for settlement service, the corporate brand evaluations and the attachment degree to region) were prepared to explain the adoption speed. It has been understood that factors influence the adoption speed of PASPY as a result of the analysis. The early adopter is evaluating the brand personality as "imaginative" about the corporate brand.

Conceptual form formula is a logical expression of forms. Since it is possible to express the structure of target data source with an adjacency matrix among entities, we are able to derive the structure of any forms which access the data source through walks inside the matrix.
In order to generate the physical forms from the gained conceptual form formula, a program which clarifies any embedded views is required, since whose algorithm possesses lexical analyzer, its programming may become complicated. If we obtain submatrix equivalent with view structure through the walk, we are able to avoid such a buggy programming.
This study proposals a method to express view elements of conceptual form formula with submatrices and its application to programming form generation.

An active information system relates to not only the the mechanical system but also a system in the human organization deeply. And the information, which information systems deal with, will have values and meanings only in some social situation or environment. The functional mechanisms and the related matters are needed to activate the information systems. Also the range of these factors is quite different depending on the rank of information systems. This paper classifies these factors to activate and to maintain the information systems based on observations of the practical fields using the information systems. Also we think about the range of these factors depending on the rank of the information systems.

This paper tries to formalize the concept of model validity for social simulations with the agent-based approach (ABA) from two stand points. By Galliers simulations in information systems research is mothodologically placed between the empirical approach and the interpretive approach. We focus this discussison on social simulations with ABA, and try to formalize the concept of model validity from these two stand points using the homomorphism concept betwenn systems. Then, we try to claim that the validity discussion in ABA should be done with mixing these two validity concepts. Finally, a guidline for model validity discussion will be proposed.

In this study, I analyze problems of two inplement technique (LGWAN-ASP, the joint use of IS) of the information system (following IS) in the administration in Iwate and clarify a Local governing body cloud computing policy of the central government office and the actual situation of the creation of the innovation in the IS inplement of the local administration using qualitative study methodology. By our investigation to this, the main thing of the evil of the implement was a conclusion to be local rule (corporate culture). I analyze it using ethnography what kind of evil the local rule gives concretely and clarify how local rule links with an organization system (duties procedure, culture) in the future and can tie it to suggesting an introduction support model with this study.

Recently, alternative tourism has attracted attention. It is not only profitable business for local travel agencies but also brings about the effects on the entire region such as improving the quality of life of local residents. For the above, the implementation of endogenous tourism development is required; that is, local resources must be used autonomously by residents in a sustained manner. In this paper, the historical materials utilization system KuKuRI to support endogenous tourism development was developed. Then, a volunteer tour guide in Kanazawa planed a tour course and developed a description of the tour using KuKuRI with NPO including historians, and a training tour for the guides was conducted. Through this case, the effectiveness of KuKuRI is verified.
