Current business environment is very severe, so the view to IT investment is also increasing severity. CIOs are always asked if sufficient ROI were got or not. Corresponding to these situations, various methods of IT investment evaluation are developed. However it is actual that the effective method is not found. I think this fundamental cause is lack of a framework of IT investment evaluation. I create the framework of IT investment evaluation that consists of investment subjects, stakeholders and effects.

Mainly an ERP implementation methodology is described by WBS(Work Breakdown Structure). This WBS method is difficult to express constraints factors, baselines factors, and available tools to manage each activity. To manage an ERP implementation project dynamically, it is important to indicate constraints, baselines, and available tools for each activity. Also those factors are impotent for successful project. The purpose of this study presents a conceptual ERP implementation methodology model by using IDEF0 modeling method, which can solve the above problems. This methodology will contribute to provide a useful guide for the planning of ERP implementation. Moreover, it is important to analyze the accurate critical success factors.

There is a type of business coalition of small or medium-sized firms without a core firm. (We call such a coalition a hub-less company.) One of the characteristics common to the successful hub-less companies is exchanging and sharing their information within the coalition. However, it is also true that any member of the coalition has an incentive to use information acquired by the other members while hiding its own (the free rider problem). We theoretically investigate how a hub-less company can increase the spillover effect from the all information its members have in order to solve the free rider problem and be successful.

Both Gaming Simulation (GS) and Case Method (CM) are traditional and powerful experiential learning methodologies to educate students at a business school. through Case-studies, we learn success and failure stories on decision-making at one certain point in the task domain. On the other hand, Business Gaming is used as another methodology of studying business schemes in a real world through virtual experience. However, there have been few studies to integrate GS and CM methodology. The purpose of our research is to explore new learning methodology to bridge GS and CM: using case descriptions and developing business games, we will consider the next strategies from a point of the person concerned.

In service marketing we have the traditional conceptual model as a process in which production, consumption and distribution occurs in a particular time and place, constructed with mainly intangible elements and also tangible ones. Information technology has have the new model with less human attachment emerge. So far, digitalized-information goods might be classified into goods or service. On the consumption aspect, service models involve customers who would perceive and evaluate intangible elements and participate in the services. On the distribution aspect, service models involve acts by contact personnel. I argue on some cases around the methodological possibility on concepts and frameworks.

This paper presented an experimental system for modeling the theory of decisions and games under ambiguous beliefs. It can be stated as the three-layer modeling of a decision maker who has ambiguous beliefs represented by the belief functions, maximize the Choquet expected utility, and to play the Nash equilibrium under uncertainty. By using Prolog, the author has developed the model base system which realizes the three-layer modeling approximately and guides the users through the simulation and analysis interactively.

We call this individual characteristic Character/Figure remembrance and storage ability. It is thought that the difference is in easiness to use for the subjects because of this individual characteristic when I use an online manual. Then, we used a guide book on the market and Web-Based Manual that we made, and we did the experiment that the subjects in a dominant character and a dominant figure grapple with the problem.

Although studies of contingency theory have been giving a great deal of contribution to understand the relationships between organizational structure and its environment, little is known about the relationships between knowledge in organizations and its environment. In this paper, we focus on the relationships between organizational environment and some factors relevant to knowledge management that were reported, and then, we discuss the possibility of contingency theory in knowledge management with empirical data.

The purpose of this study is a design of a new learning tool for the promotion of the entrepreneurship and construction of the support system. This was studied in collaboration with Aogaku Venture Network (AVN) and Aogaku Venture Lab (AVL). This tool is a learning program to experience the flow of the business. As a problem of the existing programs; 1) Only a specific age group is an object, 2) The valuation basis of the business plan is not clear, and 3) A current result is not fed back at the execution after next time. This program is what solves the problem of other programs.

The purpose of this study is to propose an evaluation method about IT companies which have the IT solution service. Characteristically the evaluation method develops from the customer's aspect. To be more precise, the following two evaluation results are extracted: I) IT companies are whether have conveyed the service to the customer from 3C frame. II) The service with which the customer is provided is evaluated, and this evaluated used to determine whether IT companies should focus more on each service. It is thought that it becomes the support whose IT companies construct the technical strategy of service.

The paper reported the attempt to search a superior strategy set using selection mechanism in a set of strategies with a lot of variety including three typical ones. This article presents the result of the simulation using GA (genetic algorithm) operations such as crossover and mutation. The dynamical changes of strategies related to players' tendency of keeping commitments are examined. Especially, the role of a strategy which uses the information if other players keep their commitments is discussed.

Moreover, it is usual to be gaps of understanding among stakeholders. Doctors in hospitals usually work several night duties every month in addition to their day duties. The scheduler has to assign appropriate number of doctors and skill level to every night duty while balancing the workload among the doctors involved. The complexity of this problem is such that, several hours are required to produce an acceptable schedule by hand. In order to alleviate such scheduling difficulties, we have developed an efficient support system for scheduling doctors which includes both a scheduling algorithm and a data-entry tool. The data-entry tool was designed to consider logical flow and the amount of data-entry required. Consequently, the scheduler can produce a practical schedule in short time with this support system.

It takes a biotechnology venture a long time to conduct research and development, and uncertainty regarding its success as an enterprise is high. Therefore, when a corporate evaluation is performed by the usual DCF method, an estimate of its current value may be too low and it may not be possible to make a suitable investment judgment. Corporate evaluation of such a biotechnology venture can be performed by using the real options analysis method to consider the required funds in each development stage and the probability of its success. For two cases, a drug discovery venture and a gene-analysis venture, corporate evaluation is performed using two techniques, the real options analysis method and the DCF method, and the effectiveness of the real options analysis method is discussed.

We developed a prototype system for supporting assembly line scheduling. The factory produces many types of products on several assembly lines. We solve the scheduling problem as a transportation problem by dealing with 'assembly lines and present stock' as the supply and 'orders and production for the next scheduling period' as the demand. Besides this scheduling module, the prototype system has a data entry/edit module and a decision support module. In this module, the scheduler accepts or rejects detailed schedules obtained in the scheduling module, according to the required productivity level for each line of each day of the scheduling period. Using this system, the scheduler is able to create an efficient schedule in several minutes rather than the usual several hours by hand.

Not a few firms are implementing enterprise information systems that can adapt changing environment of business. ERP implementation, on its nature, implies to replace a part or all of the mission critical systems which have supported the firms' business processes. Thus, firms have to review an influence of the implementation comprehensively. In this paper, we apply enterprise information systems (EIS) city planning approach, which is based on the concept and methdology of civil and architectural engineering, and discuss the success and failure factors from the perspective of architecture and implementation processes.

As opposed to skill-workers doing their work mainly in a fixed process, knowledge-workers collaborate with other knowledge-workers in a dynamic and flexible way for performing their work. Therefore, it is difficult to support them with existing methods for a fixed process. In this paper, we propose a supporting method for collaborative knowledge-workers on real-time configuration of a process, evaluate our system based on this method through practice, and consider the effectiveness of our method.
