The rehabilitation training as used in this study is mainly to improve physical muscular strength balance,rather than muscular strength, this is called power rehabilitation. If the body's balance is improved even without a strenuous muscular workout, the normal muscular strength needed for living,could be accomplished. In addition, it became clear it is an effective care prophylactic and there was little danger because most activities were light balance training and improvement of muscular strength could be expected.

From 2004 to 2006, the amount of energy consumed on the campus of the Kisarazu National College of Technology was measured. In 2006, the amount of energy consumed was 2.1 million kWh of electricity, 133,176 ㎥ of natural gas, and 50,953 ㎥ of water.When compared with the amount of energy consumed in 2004, there was a 3.09% reduction in electrical use,a 4.76% reduction in natural gas use,but there was a 2.83% increase in water usage. From these findings, it has been determined that more water conservation as well as a prevention of water leakage needs to be implemented on the campus. The total energy consumption for the campus was measured at 29,280[GJ],and the CO2 emissions were measured at 1,296[t-CO2].Both of the measurements were lower than those of 2006, with the total energy consumption being 2.87% lower and the CO2 emissions being 2.67% lower. The use of solar energy panels has helped in this reduction, with solar energy measuring at 5,000 kWh during the summer months and 3,000 kWh during the fall and winter months. This generation of solar energy makes up 2% of the total energy spent on the Kisarazu campus.

In recent years, it is recognized anew that the plant of the waterside is effective in the function of shore protection. And many researchers push forward investigation of bank of a river protection by vegetation. Bat in Small river,since management is easy, concrete shore protection remains mostly. And Small river is in the state where it is waterway-ized. If a stalk plant is given to the waterway-ized river, scouring and a deposition action will start it. Consequently, a current and deep water are gradually formed in stream bed and small water-route is made.When we give this method at a suitable interval, it is enabled to be rich in a scene and to also provide an aquatic-life living thing with rich nature. I made vegetation on the riverbank fish market,and this study conducted an investigation into a change of a flow,and we examined as one of the nature-friendly river improvement of construction.

This is a study on grammatical development in English language of Japanese children who are learning in an immersion setting at Kato Gyosyu Elementary School in Numazu. Twelve participants volunteered to have an individual interview to be examined how their syntactic structures are developed over the first year of learning through the medium of second language, English. The results showed that their first year development is significant in producing sentence structures,especially the development of the students who have no second language experience before entering the school.

Two theses are contained in this paper.The first study depends mainly upon the research of essay writing skills of Kisarazu National College of Technology from the point of using the junctures. The research comes from the data which are essays written by the students at KNCT as the daily allotment through the e-mail. Formants are the 1st year students there. The essays are analyzed by using checkboxes which are previously set in order to check the skills of writing. The other is about a study of the acquisition of English relative clauses and the acquisition of subjacency conditions among Japanese EFL Learners. The two aims of this study are following. The first one is whether Japanese EFL learners can reject the Subjacency violation. The second one is whether the learners acquire the meanings and syntactic structures of English relativeclauses. The learners were not able to reject the Subjacency violation. However, the participants could acquire the meaning and the syntactic structures of English relative clauses.

It has been recognized that brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV)is a marker related to the severity atherosclerosis[Yamashina A(2003), Hypertens.Res., Yamashina A(2002), Hypertens.Res.]. Increased baPWV is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease [Yamashina A(2002),Hypertens.Res.].So, in this study, we examined the PWV of brachial-ankle in order to evaluate the arterial stiffness as the marker among young and old men. For this study, 6 young adults aged 28 to 35 years old (Y) and 6 old adults aged 60 to 66 years(O) volunteered. Total peripheral resistance(TRP) during rest in a supine position was significantly higher in the O group than that in the Y group. And baPWV showed significantly higher in the O group than that in the Y group. But systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP), mean blood pressure(MBP) and pulse pressure(PP) in the O group were higher than in the Y group, but they were not statistically significant. The correlation between baPWV and PP was statistically significant in the O group(r=0.878,p<0.05). Especially higher baPWV and TPR in the O group might imply the arterial stiffness. These results would suggest that arterial stiffness increased in old people.

In the physical education classes, the students' motivation for learning tends to be affected by the differences of the students' abilities to exercise. Therefore, it is necessary to contrive and improve the instruction methods which change the students' passive attitudes toward physical exercises. In this study,we improved the teaching methods for the swimming classes in Kisarazu National College of Technology, and then the students' sttitudes toward the swimming classes were investigated.In addition,the students' swimming abilities were investigated to clarify the problems in improving the swimming classes.

Leaning English vocabularies is essential for acquiring English as a foreign language and the better communications in English. For Japanese teachers of English, it is very important to choose appropriate words and teach them to their students effectively. In this study,the method to analyze English vocabularies using computer software,which had been developed in 2005 by the author, was improved to speed up the process of analyzing English vocabularies. To carry out the analysis with the improved method, a text file sorting tool, spreadsheet software and text editor were used. The Specific goals of this study were (1) to make a character translation file which could be used to convert graphic words into lemmas and assess the efficiency of it, and (2) to examine how much processing time could be shortened by using the improved method. In order to achieve the goal (2), a procedure to make vocabulary lists was developed and three types of analyses were conducted. As a result, (1) using the character translation file developed in this study, 2,442 out of 5,380 graphic words (45.4%) were converted into lemmas automatically, (2) the improved method in this study made it possible to shorten the amount of analysis time remarkably.

This work reports the features of laser-induced fluorescence spectra from plant leaves excited at each 325 nm and 375 nm. In a pothos (Scindapsus aureus) leaf with different chlorophyll content, a good correlation was seen between F685/F740 (Fluorescence peak ratio of 685 nm to 740 nm) and the chlorophyll content in both 325 nm and 375 nm excitation. The impacts of UV-B and ozone stress for the LIF spectra were also examined in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) leaves. As for UV-B stress, characteristics of LIF spectral variation were somewhat different in the two ways (325 nm, 375 nm). At 375 nm excitation, F685/F530 (fluorescence peak ratio of 685 nm to 530 nm) decreased against UV-B stress. At 325 nm excitation, on the other hand, the F685/F530 increased only at the first stage of UV-B stress, and gradually increased from middle to latter stages. This increment of the F685/F530 in 325 nm excitation was not observed with ozone stress. These results indicated that it is effective for accurate diagnoses of plant leaves to monitor the LIF spectra with different excitation wavelengths in UV region.

A graph consists of a set of points, called vertices, and a set of line segments, called edges, such that each edge contains exactly two vertices as its endpoints. A plane graph is a graph embedded into the plane, and a geometric plane graph is a plane graph whose edges are straight-line segments. It is known that every plane graph is ambient isotopic to a geometric plane graph, and it is called Fary's theorem. From Fary's theorem we propose two problems: the first is how all plane graphs are lined up, and the second is how we generalize Fary's theorem. In this paper, on the first problem we focus on a grid geometoric plane graph, that is a geometric plane graph whose vertices are grid point. On the second problem we focus on a path decomposition of a plane graph.

KETpic has been developed as the macro package of Maple so as to generate LATEX source codes for clear drawings. Recently, the authors have ported KETpic to Mathematica. In this paper, we report on the procedure of the conversion and discuss on its improvements and prospects.
