Conventional holography and integral photography are typical 3D display systems in which viewers can see 3D objects without wearing special glasses. However, special equipment or parts are required to manufacture the display. By substituting pinhole array for fly-eye lens of integral photography, it has been made possible to form the pinhole array at once by an ink jet printer. The proposed system consists of a transparent board sandwiched by two transparent sheets, which are OHP sheets on which special still images were printed by high resolution ink jet printer. The 3D data are generated by either our original ray-tracing software or POV-Ray.
The color generation mechanism has been reviewed from the standpoint of excitonic interactions. In dyes and pigments, delocalization of the excited state (so-called exciton state) takes place upon light excitation because the absorption coefficient of the component molecule is quite high. The excitonic interaction (i.e. interaction between transition dipoles)induces a spectral shift or splitting (Davydov splitting) in the solid state, giving rise to a quite different absorption spectrum from the molecular one. The present process has been theoretically reviewed together with some examples of organic pigments.
Synthesized superior toner with intension of protection of environment is developed aiming energy saving and environment lord decreasing. The new polymerization toner is synthesized with new method using ester elongation polymerization. The new polymerization toner is superior to usual polymerization toners in low temperature fixing. It consists of polyester resins, while usual toners consists of styrene-acrylic copolymers. The futures of new polymerization toner is as follows; 1) Energy saving by low temperature fixing with polyester resins. 2) High image quality and reduction of 40% in toner consumption (the antecedent machine ratio)by super fine toner. 3) Superior characteristics in toner cleaning process. 4) Reduction of 35% in environmental load (as CO2 discharge).
