Yield data under two cutting treatments for 23 varieties of orchardgrass for 3 years of testing (1966-1968. Trial I), 11 varieties for 2 years (1967-1968, Trial II) and 17 varieties for 2 years (1968-1969, Trial III) were analyzed. Highly significant variety × cutting treatment interactions were obtained in all trials and in all harvest years, except in 1967 of Trial II. The correlations between two cutting treatments were low, showing 0.309, 0.298 and 0.494 in total yields for 2 or 3 years of testing in Trials I, II and III, respectively. From the results of these analyses, it was concluded that the variety should be tested under the management similar to that the variety concerned will be used.
