In this study, we focused on the diversity of first and second personal pronouns in Japanese, and statistically analyzed how they are used in spoken and written Japanese. In addition, in order to investigate the roles of pronouns, the pragmatic functions of the sentences were classified, and analyzed. The results show that although the frequency of the pronouns is higher and the vocabulary is richer in written language, there is no significant difference in the patterns and roles of the pronouns between spoken and written utterances.

At present, it is important to supply the standardized format data when various Japanese institution develop the Chinese literatures digitization in Japan. It is difficult to link metadata provided from dif- ferent institutions because various Japanese institutions usually offer their own formats. In addition, it is difficult for the computers to handle them as digital presentations unless they can digitizing elements in a structured way in the full texts, especially with Kunten and Ruby information. In this paper, we focus on the methods how to organize Chinese poetries with a structured model. Based on the structured data of Chinese poetries, we also show a presentation of differences for Chinese poetries as an example of an application of structured data. We focus on Tang poems as research data. Firstly, we extracted data and constructed a Linked Open Data (LOD) model. We built and published the datasets on the web. Secondly, we examined the method of expressing the Kunten and Ruby information in the full texts of Chinese poetry and proposed the digitized expressions using TEI markup. At last, we developed a tool which can compare and present the differences between the two instances of the same Chinese poetry.

In this paper, in order to examine risk management for small and medium-sized company projects, which have fewer members than large enterprise projects, we first identified risk factors from the descriptions of collected project failure cases, and then conducted risk analysis in accordance with the standard guideline ISO31000. Next, we focused on the frequency of co-occurrence of risk factors in the descriptions and investigated the co-occurrence feature of risk factors through clustering and cooccurrence networks. From the consideration of the results, we were able to find the ideal way of dealing with risks and the direction of concreteness suitable for small and medium-sized company projects, based on the knowledge of the chain of risk factors.

Under the policy of Society 5.0, all kinds of information and intellectual information across domains are extracted, exchanged, collaborated, shared, and reused. In particular, the SNS (Social Networking Service) has been used in a wide range of generations, researches on the data science has been actively conducted in fields. And then, the most important thing is the reliability, it is important to acquire attribute such as the gender, age, occupation, and region of the poster. The authors have been able to obtain certain results in the acquisition of three attributes other than the area attribute. However, it was difficult to estimate the locality because there were few characteristic words and the rate of location information was low. In the present research, we focus on characteristic words and words that express the same thing, and words that are used differently in each region. It is the dialects like “Kaitenyaki, Imagawayaki and Obanyaki”. Then, we propose a method to gradually extend the regional estimation model by automatically extracting users in the target region from the profile fields of SNS and learning them sequentially. In this way, we were able to estimate the data more accurately than existing methods.

To explore the trends in cited references in Southeast Asian Studies by researchers in Japan and examine the relationship between research output and library collection, we performed citation analysis of articles published in “Southeast Asia: History and Culture” and survey of holding status of those cited literatures in the authors’ libraries. The citation analysis explored that books represented more than 60% of the total number of citations. Concerning language, literatures written in English were cited more than literatures written in Japanese. In addition, although books written in English were cited more than books written in Japanese, articles published in English journals cited less than those published in Japanese journals. The survey of library holding status revealed that although about 70% of cited materials written in Japanese were hold at author’s library, only 26% of cited journal articles written in English were. It is suggested that inadequate access environment for English journals may affect to the trend in citation of Southeast Asian study researchers in Japan.
