In this paper, we analyzed the actual usage of a school library by using data on both circulation and in-library usage, based on the data from the "Chisokan" Media Center at Doshisha Junior and Senior High School from 2018 to 2021. We collected in-library usage data that had hardly been obtained before and analyzed it in conjunction with the circulation data, investigating the correlation in usage frequency, identifying unique features for each, and examining trends in popular usage periods and the subject areas of books used. Our findings revealed that a large number of books were used for in-library usage, similar to circulation. Moreover, although the temporal changes in annual in-library usage and circulation pattern are similar, unique features were also identified for each. These results can be effectively utilized in planning future school library strategies.

　From basic specialty subjects to specialized development subjects and graduate studies, with the aim of "not doing the ability to correctly understand and operate ICT technology," local information (local history of historical buildings, etc.) is investigated and education is provided that emphasizes not only the importance of communication through communication and information processing, but also the sharing of information and knowledge using network communication. For this reason, it is practiced that personal computers and smartphones can be connected to various networks and easily communicated and shared. After two years, three hours each of the AR and VR training sessions are carried out, and three years later, fields are identified. For example, local history is used to investigate when the structure was built, who it was built, and so on. Students were also asked to decide whether to express content in AR or VR. Four years later, the content was completed. In this article, we assess learning outcomes for some of these outcomes.

　In this study, we developed a crossroads for administrative staff to examine their attitudes toward disaster prevention in order to contribute to the improvement of school safety. In the crossroads, the administrative staff tended to prioritize their duties over their families in the event of a disaster. However, even when they gave priority to their duties, they assumed that they would be able to contact their families. They also understood the necessity of being involved in the management of evacuation centers in the event of a disaster. The results of this study indicate that it is possible to improve school safety through collaboration between teachers and administrative staff who are responsible for school practices. On the other hand, given that administrative staff are required to proactively and actively participate in the management of school affairs due to the revision of the School Education Law in 2017, the proactive and active participation of administrative staff in school safety is also considered necessary and important.

　In recent years, data science has been attracting attention, and all university students, regardless of humanities or sciences, are required to study mathematical and data science at the elementary level. However, in liberal arts faculties, the introduction of data literacy courses is a particular issue. In this study, we analyze the changes in students' awareness and knowledge due to the introduction of data literacy education in the liberal arts department of our university, and discuss the issues obtained from the results.

　Kanazawa University was selected for the "Advanced Research Infrastructure Sharing Promotion Project" in FY2020. As one of the pillars of the adopted project, we are building the "Kanazawa University Academic Data Management System (ARCADE2)" to enable appropriate management of research data. In particular, the "Kanazawa University Academic Data Management Policy" stipulates that this system will treat not only research data, but also "academic data" including data generated through educational activities at the university. Currently, this system is under trial and several research projects are using it, and improvements are being made based on feedback as appropriate. In this report, we describe the current system, its trial status, and future issues that have emerged from the trial.

The scope of regional materials is wide, but PR magazines issued by local governments are published by almost every municipality in Japan and are considered to be highly important regional materials. Printed PR magazines are collected and made available at public libraries in each region, but in recent years, with the advance of digitalization, digital PR magazines are now available directly on local government websites and so public libraries are rarely involved in digital PR magazines. While some municipalities are digitizing and making publicly available even their first PR magazines published some 70 years ago, there are many municipalities that only publish the latest 2-3 years of digital PR magazines on their municipal websites, making it difficult for citizens to easily access past PR magazines. Therefore, a survey was conducted individually among public relations departments of local governments that will oversee publishing PR magazines in 2022 to find out their thoughts on the digitization and openness of PR magazines. The views on the digitization and openness of PR magazines differed greatly. In this study, challenges for promoting the openness of past digital PR magazines are clarified.

　This paper examines curation methods utilizing Omeka S and IIIF in NINJAL Digital Archive “NINDA”, an online digital archive of language resources owned by the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics（NINJAL）． Using specific examples, the paper will show that curation methods utilizing Omeka S and IIIF are effective in digitally archiving language resources. We also show that digital curation is effective in the digital archiving of language resources in terms of LOD and RDF. This paper examines curation methods utilizing Omeka S and IIIF in NINDA, an online digital archive of language resources owned by NINJAL.

　In this presentation, we introduce the initiative to construct a crowdsourcing system to support collecting information on everyday objects and discuss its future development. In many parts of Japan, everyday objects have been collected and preserved as local historical and cultural materials. However, many have fallen into dead storage without being used for exhibitions or educational and academic activities. To solve this problem, the Academic Repository Network (Re*poN) has started a project to build a crowdsourcing system to collect information on everyday objects and held the first hybrid meeting in Shibetsu City in October 2022. The results showed that we could collect various information on local everyday objects through face-to-face and virtual gatherings of information providers from inside and outside the region. Furthermore, the importance of conducting events simultaneously with building and deploying an online crowdsourcing system was also recognized, leading to establishing the project's overall direction.

　Character introductions posted on the websites of productions tend to describe the characters' personalities. In this study, a total of 115 animation works broadcast from 2000 to 2020 are analyzed, and the character profiles of the 1,375 main characters are statistically analyzed. Characterization phrases are, for example, "kind," "cheerful," "honest," etc., and include synonyms, spelling inconsistencies, and so on. Therefore, a personality thesaurus was used beforehand to compile them into a representative group of 205 personality words, 99 words in the positive version and 106 words in the negative version, for a total of 205 words. The survey found that 50.4 percent is contained only character-setting phrases with positive attributes, while 26.7 percent of character introductions contained both positive and negative attribute words.

　In recent years, various data held by government agencies and other organizations have been released as LOD, and their utilization has also been promoted. When converting data to LOD, it is necessary to check each piece of data in both the linked source and destination data sets and link each source data appropriately. In this process, manually searching for candidate link data is costly. In this study, the similarity of strings linked to the subject of RDF describing LOD is calculated based on Levenshtein distance, and the similarity is used to select candidate linked data to be recommended as similarity of the subject. Because of the high processing cost of brute force processing, we propose to apply indexing using the feature vector method, and report the experimental results.

　In recent years, there has been a rapid increase in born-digital materials, which are digital data from when they are generated, in addition to analogue materials as objects and their digitalised counterparts. In particular, the quantitative scale of digital data generated and owned by individuals is expanding due to the widespread use of smartphones and other devices. It is obvious that the amount of born-digital materials owned by individuals is also enormous. However, there has been little discussion on the qualitative characteristics of these materials and their handling from collection to preservation and utilisation. We have defined born-digital regional memory (BDRM) as digital data generated and owned in a region and launched a new project to collect and inherit it. In this paper, we present the background and whole image of how we came up with the idea of BDRM inheritance, the technical and social issues that can be envisaged, and the future vision for BDRM inheritance. We also report on "Dejikio" (deriving from digital-kioku), the practice of collecting BDRM, in Yamagata, and present the challenges and prospects.

　Many digital archives for academic resources have been constructed to make a wide variety of academic material information available to the public. On the other hand, it is clear that there are several issues related to the continuity of digital archives, such as site closure after the completion of research projects and abandonment of maintenance. In order for a digital archive to serve as a platform for handing down information on resources to the next generation, it is important to consider how to maintain its open status and how to continue to update and revise information on resources over the next 10 years, with a focus on continuity and sustainability. In this report, we discuss the current status of the "robustness" of the platform, which is the key to the future of the platform. This paper discusses the realization of a "robust" digital archive for academic resources, which is currently being worked on in collaboration with several experts.

　This paper describes the knowledge gained through the promotion of digital archives in collaboration with the Yamagata Archive Executive Committee, of which the author serves as secretary-general, with collection institutions in Yamagata City. In particular, I considered the relationship with the museum support project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, which was used in promoting the project. In doing so, he pointed out the importance of cooperation among small-scale museums that makes use of each other's strengths and weaknesses in promoting the digital archiving of small-scale museums. Also, in order to promote the digital archiving of Japanese museums, it is necessary to expand the efforts of such small-scale museums.

　The author has begun collecting regional "memories" such as regional landscapes, townscapes, and the thoughts of the people who live and work in Yamagata and archiving them in Yamagata University Museum. This paper introduces the activities of the "Yamagata Archive" that the author is creating and points out the problems and issues that have emerged from these activities, as a first step toward the construction of "Regional Archives Studies" regarding the collection, organization, preservation, and provision of regional archives.

　Various types of research outputs are produced by research projects granted by funding agencies. The Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) asks grant recipients to report their research outputs in fixed categories: journal articles, conference presentations, books, and industrial properties. In the open science era, many research outputs that do not fall into these categories are generated and reported beyond these categories (e.g., listing a preprint as a journal article). In this paper, we investigate the diversity of research outputs of KAKENHI by analyzing their resource types. As a result, we observe that the diversity of research outputs of KAKENHI is much lower than those of funding agencies in foreign countries, although it has increased in the past decade. We also find that larger research projects produce more diverse research outputs. For the research projects by young researchers, we see that they list preprints as research outputs more frequently. These findings suggest that the evaluation of diverse research outputs is demanded in Japan.

　In recent years, there has been international progress in developing platforms that support the reproducibility and reusability of research data. Many platforms adopt a service architecture integrating multiple information systems to cover the entire research data lifecycle. In realizing this architecture, specifications for inheriting processes and results executed on different information systems play an essential role. In this study, we introduce our practices for application profile development in the NII Research Data Cloud (NII RDC). We developed an application profile using ontology theory and technology based on entities and key relationships extracted from the NII RDC user stories to enhance the interoperability of different domain models. This application profile is expected to promote understanding the processes performed and results among users in different domains and multiple infrastructures.

　In modern times, there exist a plethora of visual media contents such as tokusatsu series, TV anime, and theatrical films. Some of these contents, such as the Ultra series that premiered in 1966 and the Pretty Cure series that premiered in 2004, have been produced for a long period of time. If one has been residing in Japan from childhood, they are likely to have watched these series. While they can be treated as a common topic among many people, there can be a generational gap in terms of which series or works they have watched and at what age they watched them. As time passes since viewing, memories of the watched contents and the age at which they were watched tend to fade, making it difficult to accurately recognize the generation gap. Therefore, in this study, we develop a system to plot the watched contents on a chronological chart along with the age at the time of viewing, visualizing the temporal progression of acquired information and knowledge. By sharing information between generations, we also aim to address the generation gap.

　Public administration is in the process of formulating web accessibility policies and disclosing test results. In 2019, the Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee conducted a survey on prefectures and ordinance-designated cities and published the results. After that, the current situation as of April 2022 was clarified in Honda(2022), a presentation at the 30th (2022) Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Information and Knowledge, and web accessibility was established in all prefectures and ordinance-designated cities. In addition, the results of annual examinations were made public by 44 groups in prefectures and by 19 groups in ordinance-designated cities. This research investigates the current status of the formulation of web accessibility policies and the publication of annual test results in cities other than ordinance-designated cities in Japan, which was not clarified by the Web Accessibility Fundamental Committee and Honda (2022).

　It has been pointed out that efforts by universities and research institutes, as well as individual researchers, play an essential role in the recent global development of open science. Academic information databases that collect open research results on a national or regional basis have begun to provide institutional dashboards that can monitor the open science activities of institutions and lead to reforms in research evaluation. Clarifying the need for dashboards and indicators for universities and research institutions in Japan is expected to promote open science and contribute to the progress of open science and research evaluation reform activities in institutions. In this study, we interviewed a total of 15 people from two communities of librarians and research administrators in Japan. We conducted a qualitative analysis to clarify the groups of metrics that are currently used within institutions and those that are intended to be used in the future. In addition, as a preliminary analysis focusing only on "indicators", based on the extracted indicators, a dashboard for institutions required for each community was constructed.
