In the TA building, the operation of air-conditioning units for perimeter zones are controlled by the solar radiation and outdoor air temperature. Under this feed forward loop control, heat loads and thermal environment within perimeter zones were analyzed by the operating data at October 2006 and February 2007. As results, the supply air temperature within perimeter zones is controlled round the set temperature. We recognized that the feed forward loop control is slightly superior to the feed back loop control, on PMV condition. However, we have observed simultaneously the mixing-loss by supplying chilled and hot water within perimeter zones on each direction.

As the result of the measurement, it is found the tendency of energy consumption gets somewhat different from one of the statistical data in literatures, caused by a change of hospital management, advanced building equipment system etc.. Condition of co-generation system consisted of gas engine generators and fuel cell was analyzed. More energy saving is expected to improve the usage of hot water in winter period effectively.

We pursued the energy consumption of the HVAC system in a campus to operate the most suitable condition. First, we measured thermal loads in a seminar building at the periods of summer 2006 and winter 2007. On the basis of the data, we analyzed the correlation among the outdoor condition and the number of students. Furthermore, we build the numerical model for thermal loads of the HVAC system by using the correlation. As results, we obtained the good-coincidence between the measured thermal loads and the simulated thermal loads.

It is important for effective use of natural lighting to influence on energy saving and improvement indoor environment, and to carry out prediction and examination of daylight environment from early stage of design process. In this study, using three methods, measurement, an experiment with models, and a simulation, it was measured indoor illuminance and compared results of each method. Moreover, since values of the daylight factor is stable, it is easy to carry out evaluation, but the case where importance is attached to direct sunlight is more than skylight now. This study is estimating the indoor illuminance under direct sunlight. The results show that each method of the experiment with models and the simulation show the similar tendency to measurement, so the prediction in consideration of direct sunlight of illuminance is possible, and each method of the experiment with models and the simulation can be applied to predict indoor illuminance.

As measurement methods, "essentially free field method based on SHASE-S 110" were compared with "four kinds of sound intensity method". The sound intensity levels were measured at discrete points or measured by scanning. Moreover, measured surface of the sound intensity levels were sphere or box shape. As a result, the sound power levels for ducted fans were almost equal between essentially free field method and sound intensity methods.

CO_2 emission caused by production of building materials depends on the industrial structure and efficiency. The quantities of building materials used in building are different in which brick is mainly used in China and steel in Japan. Energy and CO_2 emission due to production of building materials in China are larger than in Japan. This paper shows CO_2 emission due to the building construction in China is 2 or 3 times larger. CO_2 emission of electricity (kg- CO_2/kWh) is also 2 or 3 times larger in China compared with Japan, because 40% of electricity is generated by nuclear power station in Japan.
